He wrote a book Dianetics which deals with his science of developing and enlightening the mind. The 9th house has to do with the spiritual life, and the combination of the planets along the 3/9 axis in Pisces and Virgo gives the intense spirituality. Rahu badly placed in Pisces, forming a partial guruchandala yoga, giving the unorthodox approach to religion. Rahu represents foreigners and outcasts, and in the sign of religion gives cult leanings. He is probably running Rahu major cycle, or if it is a temporary interest, then just a subcycle. If this is the case, Jupiter will definitely bring proper spritiual preception, due to his exchange with Mercury, and the clustering of planets in spiritual signs. The retrogression the 9th lord Jupiter and retro Venus combined with debilitated Mercury shows also that the religiousness is not functioning normally. Retrogression shows delayed attainment of the true spirituality, as does the neechabhanga of Mercury. But these only form obstacles, not denial. The combination of Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter in Pisces is the same as what Einstien had, so there is a simililar leaning towards the scientific. The 5th house gives the form of the deity. In this case it is represented by Mars in Scorpio. Mars rules math and science, and is in his own sign, which represents an occult, or underground type of religion. I do not think that this person will remain a scientologist however. This I can say due to the predominance of planets in Pisces, Virgo and Scorpio, all spiritual signs, as well as their positioning in spiritual houses. In Jupiter Mahadasa the person will become very spiritual along more Vedic thinking, especially as Jupiter is in Virgo with Ketu.
