I accept the wishes gratefully, but affirm that my DOB is April 20. 1934. Just checked my last posting on this, find no typing error. But weird things happen in the net sometimes. Don´t celebrate the day though! Where I was born people didn´t celebrate birthdays, some spent the day praying and fasting - and that on the lunar birthday, not the calendar date. When my family was intact wife and kids used to arrange a party etc. But ever since I live separated I try to spend the day out, save myself cooking! Bit averse to receiving flowers and presents, for it is often a problem where to put them. Hope the day is nice this year and I can enjoy the sun. regards Mani
Guest guest
Mani: Oops! Don't know how I had Apr 10 in my database for you. Sorry for leading others astray. Still, if anyone is worthy of two birthdays in two weeks, it would be you. I hope you did not study my chart with the wrong date, it would have been a waste of time and energy. But do please try the moon transiting Ascendant. it is really remarkable. The sun transiting ascendant - as a second Varshaphal - is not exciting, thought it may reveal things. I have yet to try sun transiting natal moon. But these are too slow for the angles to be close enough to sensitive points. I now intend to try moon transiting each planet. Transiting venus on 7th angle may tell me when I meet my last and greatest love! It may, of course, be the week I die and meet the Great Mother!!! Since this having 2 birthdays is around Easter time, when I am physically "down", it may be a symbolic "resurrection", Thanks for initiating it, dear Nephew! love Mani

It's a good thing we used the wrong date! > Dear Carol, I did not say I was averse to receiving good wishes - only presents etc.! Good thoughts are always welcome, even without a birthday. I personally don´t celebrate by throwing a party, but more quietly, thinking over what I have done during the last year, taking it easy. No penance, but rather meditative. You are at liberty to send me good thoughts again on the 20th!!! This business of not celebrating birthdays in my homeland is sort of based on the fatalistic idea that to be born is not a matter for rejoicing about, but something to be regretted. My philosophy does not accept this view, for to be born is a step towards the goal. For me not celebrating is a habit: we 7 chidren and our parents just didn´t remember the birthdays. I have them on a piece of paper, collected the data after I started with astrology. No, the wishes did not hurt any feelings or sentiments, in fact gave me a boost to see how eager people were to send me wishes, that they did it too early - and good wishes NEVER hurt .... if only they would also work! .... regards Mani
