By reading about how those children reached God's perfection i felt more calm and thought "there is still hope for this planet as long as we have children like them". When i bump onto someone in the street i say sorry even if it is not my fault. When an American spy-aircrat kills a Chinese pilot by accident, the American government takes few days to say "sorry" because they feel too big to be humble. When i saw those news i thought "there is not hope for this planet as long as we have adults in power like them". It seems some are hell-bent on attacking the US at every opportunity...this to my mind is NOT showing "goodness and better wishes". I've watched the constant attack on US from the background, believing myself to be an outsider, and therefore I should mind my own business. However in this instance I feel it necessary to come to the defence of the US. One doesn't have to be a nuclear physicist to deduce it was China's INTENTION to bring that plane down. The US spy plane was NOT on some secret mission...quite the opposite! These kind of (information gathering) missions are carried out on a regular basis by ALL the super powers...not just the US. There was nothing secret about it at all! Of course the information and technology on board WAS secret, and it was this the Chinese wanted to get their hands on. The US (spy) plane was in international air space when it was "buzzed" by Chinese fighter planes. To suggest that it was the giant, heavy, unmoveable US plane that engaged the light, nifty, moveable Chinese bombers is absolutely ludicrous. China wanted that plane down, and to demand US apologise because one of their own pilots was killed in the exercise is the height of Chinese arrogance. Indeed they'd like their hands on the information aboard the US plane, but more than this (I think) they're wanting some leverage in their negotiations with the US concerning the US's support of Taiwan...what better bargaining chip than the lives of US Air Crew. They KNEW the US plane would be there. This was a regular (non-secret) exercise, and I'm quite sure the Chinese have had this attack in mind for some time. It was their #1 fighter pilot that was killed in the mission. For goodness sake...come on, be realistic, they wanted that plane down! My first AND LAST political comment. Last weekend i talked to a soldier friend of mine. He says that the plane is not really important, not as sophisticated for the chinese. He told me that what the Chinese are doing is to make the world aware of US activities on China. On one hand the US wants the Chinese market. Can you imagine selling them tv's, wachine machines, telephones etc to more than 300 million homes? The US have drawn a protective line around them. They did not want Cuba to have a nuclear capability because of the relative short distance. But what about US having nuclear capability near Russia? They have it but they tell the world that the US can do anything because they are big bullies and they can get away with it. So in this case, China does not want Taiwan to be helped by the US cos of the close distance. Is that too much to ask? Unfortunately the world of politics is poison to righteous living...even in a country like Australia our politicians are seen to be untrustworthy and corrupt. Would that we lived in a world of trust and peace, where our water was still fresh and pure, and our produce still fit to eat. Greed and corruption (I'm afraid) has soured this once beautiful world, and it's become far too easy to get caught up in all the political propaganda. What to do? but to meditate, pray, and try to remain peaceful in the midst of all this uproar...trying as best we can not to get too involved...it's not easy! It is dangerous to dig into these things. You may discover only a tiny bit, but if that bit is TOP SECURITY you will be "eliminated" no matter where you live! Lovers of Divinity, will increase their tendencies for love, compassion and affection for everyone. I just saw the news few minutes ago that Bush somehow apologized for the lost of the Chinese pilot. Experts think that he did it cos of pressure from members of his own party that have a lot to lose if their financial links with China is cut off. On one side there are big financial corporations requesting to cut out China and on the other side there are big financial corporations requesting to continue the market with China. It is not a question anymore of Democracy but of how to please those that rule this planet. God has a plan and He is not going to let us down.
