Dear Inder, here I`ll show you my twincase essay:

Lagna for Uday is 8°34 Cancer and for Ajit 8°46 Cancer. Both started with

vimshotarydasa Sun/Mercury. Uday changes allways 3 days later.

Saturn and mercury are malefics for cancer rising. Mercury rules their 12th

house and he is a "transporter" even for infectious diseases like polio.

So, I would first take a glance at mercury:

In the rasi of both boys mercury is debilitated in their 9th house pisces

and conjoint with rahu, the sun and jupiter, who is in his own sign, but

afflicted by rahu.

Mercury (5°33) is opposite to the moon on same degree (5°54) in virgo, 3rd

house, conjunct ketu.

Retrograde saturn is in scorpio, a very enemy sign, on 27°27, aspecting

taurus in 11 with mars and aspecting the two houses of death 2 and 7.

The 6th house of disease, sagittarius (hips) seems to be empty and is

aspected by mars.

In reality it is full of invisible points: the arabian part of fortune, the

part of sickness, the part of death, Ceres (11°06), very slow retroneptune (

14°24) and slow retro-uranus (3°04) are hidden in their 6th house.

Pluto is retrograde in 4, libra on 15°27. If conception was regulary

(twins), it took place around stationary pluto on 10°57 libra, quinkunx with

mars (10°49).

Until here all is the same for both boys.

Interesting would also be mercury`s position in 02-Hora : 11°06 Cancer

exactly making a quinkunx with Ceres!

 

Navamsa: AC for Uday is 17°10 virgo and for Ajit it`s 19°01 virgo.

I`m now inviting you to follow my thoughts: back to rasi.

Let`s take a look at mercury`s stations: jun, 21. 1987 retro 23°13 gemini,

12th house,

jul, 15.1987 direct 13°48 gemini, oct.16. 1987 retro 19°37! libra, nov. 6.

1987 direct 3°48 libra . On febr. 2. 1988 retro aquarius 4°28 and on febr.

23 1988 direct 19°04! gemini! Pluto had his station on feb. 14 1988 retro

18°59! libra.

Disease occured in march, all these planetary stations prepared the way.

 

For my opinion it must have been Ajit, who was in danger because of his AC

degree 19°01.

 

Watching the moon and her eclipses we will find: jul 25.1987 newmoon : 8

Cancer 42, beeing closer to Ajit`s AC. There was a new-moon eclipse on sep

23. 1987 in 5 virgo 53 ( directly on their moon) and a fullmoon eclipse on

oct.7. 1987 on 19 pisces 03, directly in opposition to Ajit`s navamsa lagna!

On nov 5. 1987 we had the full moon on 19 aries 03, in febr. 2. 1988 we had

the full moon on 19 cancer 33 and the last eclipted fullmoon before the

disease was on march 3. 1988 on 19 leo 37, exactly in Ajit`s navamsa 12th

house and within a halfsextile to his navamsa lagna.

 

There might be some more, f.e. the different lagnas in 24 - Siddamsha and 45

-Akshavedamsha and their degrees also the degrees of all the other

finetuning lagnas, also naturally the anthardasas; but as far as I would be

right in my calculations, I

would assume that Ajit had polio around the 18. march.

And I must say good job, predictions going right or wrong matters to lay man; to

Astrologers ,it is process , how one calculate , matters the most. Any how your

conclusion that Ajit had polio is correct. He was attacked by Polio on 8th of

April (I was told that attack occurred in 11th month so I said March before). I

confirmed just now for the parents of the child .

When I castled their horoscope , it was just after two or three months from

their birth . You had used KP ayanasha I guess , it gives these degrees in

Jaganath Hora Lite. My self-made programme gives 8 degrees 38 minutes for 1st

issue and 8 degree 50 minutes 46 seconds for the 2nd.

If we will calculate Vishmotary from Ascendant Cusp for 1st

Mahadasa will be of Saturn Antra Venus and Partayantar of Moon.

In 2nd case only pratayantar will change it will go to Mars.

Find out what is Moon to these two persons. Moon is in the constellation ruled

by Sun an occupant of 9th house. and lord of 2nd.

MARS and Ketu are in the constellation ruled by Moon.

Moon is a strong significator of 9th house good for health , longevity, luck and

it is full. Opposition from Mercury will give sharp mind, wasting his speech,

visiting holy places, spending money for satisfying ego and to remain in front

in relatives and in society.

Moon is also a week significator of Ascendant , strong are Mars and Ketu being

in the constellation of it.

Now what is Mars?

Mars is an occupant of 11th house.

No planet is in the constellation of Mars.

As such Mars is a strong significator of 11th house A badhka place for movable

Ascendant.(Same as in case of Noel's given data.)

Mars is a strong significator of Ascendant also as I had already written above.

A planet who is jointly a significator of 1st and 8th or 1st and a badhka place.

1st and a Marka place 1st and 12th place will cause physical ailments and death

in the case of short age birth chart.

So Mars had given this boy a problem related with Muscles, he is blunt and

emotional. (Mars in moon star)

1st is strong , emotional and over talkative (Moon aspected by Mercury).

Calculate other cusps also by placidus method. You will see lot of difference in

8th cusp also.It's sub lord having relations with 3rd 11th 5th , 10th and 9th is

good. Connection with ascendant or becoming the significator of 1st house is

bad.

Any way ,you had used western and vedic jointly, I had done the same , but my

treatment is only to the cusp points. Very Good Job. Please post your birth

detail, I want to find out what makes you interest in all this.
