Guest guest
<<But, as Natabara rightly pointed out in his posting of 16/03, it all depends on one's karma in life, as shown by the 9th house in the birth chart which relates to the Guru . If one is not meant to meet his or her Guru (and by Guru, I mean a 'Spiritual Master', not just a simple 'teacher') in this lifetime, then I expect it won't happen and if one is meant to be cheated, then I suspect this will also happen. Do you agree?>> Namaste Dany I would like to add some lines to this. At the beginning when we come across vedic astrology, we may encounter the rule that neecha (weak) planets are likely to give bad results in a horoscope. However, later on we find that a neecha planet can achieve neecha bhanga raja yoga, a cancellation of debilitation which can make the planet as strong as being in exaltation. Like in astrology, where we always find a rule overruling another one, in the spiritual path, there is something similar. Although the 9th house indicates the belief system and we are supposed to live our destiny, Divine intervention overrules everything. Guru is the representation of Lord Nityananda. Aparently Jagad & Madhai did not have any hope of being realeased from the clutches of Maya Devi due to their sinful nature. However, thanks to the intervention of Lord Nityananda, Krishna gave them Love of Godhead. Miracles happen by the Mercy of the Lord. Guru can change horoscopes. Horoscope can be calculated for the time of birth of an idea, question, enterprise or living entity. The horoscope of spiritual initiation can overrule the natal horoscope if that is His will. Vedic astrology implies predetermined trends and free will. Although we are limited by destiny we have also free will. Your guru can give you certain tasks or services to purify your path or to finish with certain karmic debts that are obstructing both your spiritual and material paths. But it is up to you to follow his instructions. If you do, you are likely to get ride of certain burdens and if you do not, you are likely to wait for another opportunity either in this life or in the next. For example, A was the indirect cause of B committing suicide. B has to come back to learn the lesson that suicide is not the answer and that it is better to find a positive solution. In this life B comes to A to find the solution and A has to help B. The guru of A may give him the clues to help B and IF A follows that guidance and B learns his lesson, both A & B will eventually pass to their next stage of development. However, if A & B do nor pass their lesson, they are not going to be successful in their material or spiritual activities because of the "accident". Please notice that this example does not say that the guru does the job for you, it is you that is the one that has to work things out. There are some people that think that spiritual initiation erase automatically all their sins but do not realize that it is just the beginning of clarifying their path. When we are ill, we get some medicine and while working, the medicine may make things worst in the beginning before getting better but eventually we will see a better health. So, even if your horoscope shows no hope of finding Guru in this life, by Divine intervention everything can be adjusted. One day someone ask my guru maharaja what we should do after he leaves his body? He replied "do not worry about service because you will always find an opportunity for service, but search always for that person that can give you Krishna" So if i have to be cheated 1 million times because of my sins, let it be, and the sooner the better. But i will still keep an eye on those that are cheaters because i only want the Real thing and that is not Coke. I want to have the association of those that can give me the clues to see and to serve Krishna. natabara
Guest guest
Perhaps you can make something a little clearer. There are many types of Neecha Bhanga Yogas. For instance, the neecha planet is an angle from the Moon or ascendant, it is in a house with an exalted planet, it is exalted in the Navamsha, the lord of its exaltation sign is in an angle, and so on. My limited understanding is that cancellation of debilitation is not the way a Westerner would understand cancellation. If I cancel my newspaper subscription, then its over and done with, it does not exist anymore. But Neecha Bhanga cancellation usually means some of the effects of the Neecha are diminished and how much is dependent on how many Neecha Bhanga Yoga's the Neecha Planet gets and what kind. I suppose if a planet were neecha in a house with an exalted planet, was exalted in the Navamsha, was in an angle from the moon, and the exaltation lord of the neecha planet was in an angle, then perhaps the planet is as strong as an exalted planet would be. Is this what you were referring to when you said, "later on we find that a neecha planet can achieve Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga, a cancellation of debilitation which can make a planet as strong as being in exaltation." I would appreciate your comments on this. Namaste, Jeff
Guest guest
Thank you very much, Natabara, for having elaborated further on this point. The gist of it all is that ultimately, our fate is in the hands of God and can be modified at any time, subject to his Will and possibly our merit. It is worth pointing out at this stage that some Yogis who have attained Self-Realization, or are particularly advanced on the spiritual path, choose themselves the date and time of their death, irrespective of what their birthchart says.
