Diabetes/Venus/Remedies

Hello All,

 

I wonder if I might stretch your patience here by adding some (more)

thoughts on this subject. It's been my own experience that's led me to

investigate the role of Venus in diabetes/chronic disease. Even though I am

a type 2 diabetic, and even though 5th lord Venus is afflicted in 8th (and

it would therefore be easy to predict "diabetes due to Venus affliction"),

the fact is THAT'S not what's manifesting, and so I've been forced to find

the reason why.

 

Certainly Venus afflicted in 8th has resulted in long term chronic illness

(from teens mildly, from 1983 severely). The chronic illness involved is

inflammatory by nature due to strong Pitta influence, and the physiology

affected is in accord with Venus' moolatrikona sign Libra. This is not just

astrological musing...this is verifiable fact. Being chronic in nature means

that there is no cure (this is what chronic means), and having tried

everything from ayurveda to surgery, I can attest to the truth of that.

 

In regards to the diabetes, this is (in my case) due to a kapha imbalance

with Jupiter (conjunct Rahu) aspecting the ascendant. This responds well to

medical treatment and I'm quite sure, if I were better able to balance the

doshas, the problem would be virtually non-existent.

 

My own experience, along with studying other "diabetic" charts, has taught

me this.

 

As for the chronic inflammatory condition...as Venus is the obvious culprit,

would it not be logical to go to the root cause and try to strengthen Venus.

Gem therapy has been practiced by traditional astrologers for thousands of

years and is held in high esteem in such ancient treatises as Garuda

Puranam, etc...

 

I DO NOT WISH to get back to such a controversial subject here, but I do

wish to point out that there seems to be no qualms about offering other

(herbal, etc...) remedies, that in chronic conditions have little effect,

yet there is great opposition to gem therapy, which is (after all) just

another remedy...but perhaps a more powerful one as it's going directly to

the root cause.

 

PLEASE let's not get into a big debate about this...these are simply my

views...everyone else is entitled to their own.

Dear Wendy, I am a pisces lagna with venus in the 4th aspected by saturn from

the the 7th,but with venus surrounded by jupiter and mercury.This venus is

combust in the first house of the Navamsa and rules the 7th and 12th there.AN

astologer made an interesting experimental suggestion which breaks all the

rules,wear a gem for venus,you will be happier,real estate and vehicles will

Dave,

 

>From the data you have mentioned, you were born in the 5th navamsha. Now,

Venus is definitely the Karaka of marriage, but according to your statement

it is placed in the fourth house along with 7th and 4th lord, Mercury. Sun

cant be far away. Saturn is aspecting this combination of 6th, 4th and 7th

lord from the 7th house.

 

Now, since Venus is placed with the 7th lord and is in the houses of

conveyances, properties etc., the astrologer might have suggested you a gem

of Venus, moreso, if you were at that time passing through the Dasha of

Venus.

 

For my side, if you need to strengthen your these aspects, look for

strengthening Mercury, (by praying to Lord Vishnu) or praying to the Supreme

power of whatever faith you belong to.

 

Diabetes is being discussed on the list for a long time. And Sun and Venus

have been ascribed as the planets causing them. Venus is definitely one of

them but the other one is Jupiter. Affliction to these two planets in the

charts have a propensity to give rise to Diabetes. Venus and Sun would be in

close proximity in most of the charts.
