A couple of points here, before I close my comments on this subject. After

reading this and the previous posts, everyone will follow their conscience

so far as what, and what not, to eat.

1. The 8,400,000 species of life mentioned in the Padma Purana, out of

which 400,000 are human, are listed categorically in terms of the levels of

their consciousness elevation. Animals are next to human, and thus due to

a move evolved consciousness, are going to feel the horrors, pain, and

agony of slaughter, by far more than a cabbage feels if you cut it from the

ground. If you actually go to a slaughter house, you will see the German

Holocaust re-visited, except this time the victims are animals, not

humans. (See Pursottam's post for graphics details. He saw a video, I was

there personally, and the stories of murder are the same).

2. The vaster majority of vegetable foods do not require killing the plant,

when you are in the process of harvesting the fruit or grain. If the food

offered by such planets is not taken by human beings, then it will simply

fall to the ground and be re-processed by nature. You are not killing

anything when, for example, you pick the grape from the vine, or separate

the corn from the plant.

3. If you really have compassion for plants, stop eating

animals. Why? Because in that animal's short life of 10 to 15 years, he

consumes a whole lot of vegetable food. If you slaughter one animal, you

are also "slaughtering" 15 years worth of grain that he has eaten in his

lifetime.

4. Don't be lazy - learn how to cook vegetarian meals. As Patrice Curry

said, many vegetable foodstuffs have protein and other essential vitamins

and minerals, and in fact human beings only require 9% protein in their

diets. If you have to do some hard work on a given day, supplement protein

with soy products like Tofu or soy protein powder, or eat a lot of legumes

like chick peas, lentils, Moong dal, etc. I personally am a gourmet

vegetarian cook, so if anybody wants so come to my house in Bend, OR., I

will show you how this is done. You will have a feast beyond your wildest

imagination.

Best wishes,

Robert

Hello Robert,

I fear going to slaughterhouses, they have such terrible vibrations.

I do not understand how someone can retain their sanity while working

in such an environment. Those places must be cursed by so many of the

dying animals, that I would think that even those who work there, but

are not killing also must face terrible consequences. For now I'll do

my best to avoid them, even if this is escapism ;-)

warm regards,

Alex J
