Guest guest
Jeff: Aritual water from now? The goal is the same for all Religions: >Moksha, Salvation, Union with God, The vision of the Uncreated Light, >Theosis, Deification, Divinization, or Enlightenment, but some paths seem >to be better suited to some than others. As you pointed out this is where >Astrology can help us. I personally feel that Vedic Astrology has helped >me become a lot more compassionate. How can you judge a fellow follower >(or myself for that matter) for having the karma of an inconsistent >spiritual sluggard? We need to walk a mile in another persons chart and >after that I guarantee you the desire to judge them will melt away. This is well put. As an uncomitted secularite, I often feel that organized religions are largely saying the same things about how we should behave and apply the "golden rule". Astrology allows us some see why this is really the best (ie, the most logicaland appropriate) approach. I know I have a tendency to judge and criticize other people and that astrology has forced me to to be more accepting of others. What else can you do? So to my mind, the spiritual dimension vedic astrology isn't so much that it allows one to gain a better understanding of the vedas, the cycle of karma, and other aspects of hinduism. Of course, it can do those things too if one is so inclined. More generally, vedic astrology and in fact, all astrology, gives us a special window into others people's lives. Astrology is a compassion machine, par excellence, that can generate empathy for other people by its very nature. Chris
