The full moon occurs exactly on my natal moon and the Sun is on natal Lagna, & I 've had a feeling about this for awhile, --fasting, meditating, opportunity to feel closer to the Divine? Thanks, Robin

The celebration of ekadasi helps to increase our spiritual advancement, it polish our intuition and eliminates excess fat in the body. We celebrate ekadasi by avoiding eating grains like rice, wheat, sweet corn and legumes like lentils and beans. Meditation and reading of spiritual literature is very inspiring on those days. > > Also, the next Full Moon coming is very auspicious because is accelerating the coming of the mini golden age in this Kali yuga. > > To those wanting to accelerate their spiritual life ekadasis are a must and this full moon is a great day to celebrate. > > Hare Krishna > > natabara > > >

Could you please elaborate a little on what Ekadasi is, and why celebrating it is so important for "increasing our spiritual advancement, polishing our intuition and eliminating excess fat in the body". Also, could you please explain why one should specifically avoid foods such as "grains (rice, wheat, sweet corn) and legumes (lentils and beans)", and not any other food. I have heard various stories about it and wander what is right. Many thanks. Dany
