Guest guest
Whenever Ketu is conjunct the big main significators, like Moon, Lagna, Lagna Lord, Sun or Mercury, there is always going to be some sensitivity which is heightened. There will be a tendency towards great sweaps of awareness coming over the imaginative side of the mind and often overtake the person in deep pondering or visionary type dreaming or imagining. This can often be about morbid or horrible things such as bodily carnage of some type. This can be very troubling to say the least. However, these matters are completely possible in this realm, so the person gets a bit hung up on these things. Venus conjunct Ketu in Virgo in 12th gives quite a strange relationship with a strange mix of youthfulness, beauty, pleasure, and death or negative material possibilities. This is not a nice combination- debilitated Venus in the 12th with Ketu. One can imagine some pretty unique spiritual qualities arising out of this, but it's a bit twisted by normal standards. The boy will need help and will be troublesome to some degree based on this placement alone. I imagine there will be issues around his body, relationships with woman as too objectified, as the riff 'tween Virgo and Venus reveals itself in his life, and a tendency towards odd expressions of sexuality since Ketu conjunct sexual karakas (Venus being one, first lord another, the 12th house another, and in one way, Virgo always is too), makes one to be open to "things too low for oneself" and "fearful situations". Note that the 12th can have connections with dreams and Ketu is visionary and dreamy too, and there is some fear around Ketu, and the 12th house has connection with the sleep state, so I think that the kid is troubled mentally somewhat based on the first lord being situated in this way. A fear of loss and old age would be expected I think. Picture you go to your 12th to debilitation and you conjoin a death lord pshyco tripper in a dream state! As soon as Ketu is conjunct something important, one must watch out for that strong influence of ultimate strange connections mentally to a downward pushing force of awareness which causes us to look up very strongly too sometimes. Like being beheaded, it's a loathed and morbid experience, which is final and liberating in some ways. Ketu is in a sense, the most spiritual planet but it has a brutal side usually around death issues, which it can make actually experiencial or just in the head more so. Either way, it's a strong influence in a direction which is emotionally/mentally difficult. Things around the first lord appear more difficult in youth. There is a special extra portion of their effects put on during youth due to first lords additional rulership over the youth period. Some parts of this will tune themselves out over time, or that's usually the case. These are my own thoughts. They may be wrong or somewhat misleading. Guest guest
Hi Ann, My computer doesn't work most of the time, so, I don't know if you have received any answers to your Q. I just want to tell you, whether the "angry voices" are coming from inside the head, or inside- that requires prompt response: that can be a serious symptom (let's forget nozology that psychiatrists use, for the moment) It is a sign that mental health in general needs intervention... If the symptoms last for couple of years, even worse. Psychiatry can "fix" that problem, the sooner the better. "Angry voices" can make one feel frightened, willing to defend himself, and it's not naive symptom, at all.. From your letter, and length od illness- because it is illness-I can conclude that it' untreated- even if the symptoms become less severe, if untreated, chances are that they occur in different, even less pleasant forms, or to be "dormant" for while, and reappear in a more harmful way. Sorry, I don't think that the phenomenon should be explored astrologically before unnecessary, available help is undertaken. In short, psychiatrist first, than we can search for reasons in astrology. Anna - Ann Murphy gjlist Cc: evie Sunday, March 04, 2001 4:51 AM [gjlist] Hearing evil voice Dear J, If somebody tells you they are hearing evil voices INSIDE their head, you can be sure the voice is their own. With true schitzophrenia, the voices are always OUTSIDE the head.(can be described as an entity sitting behind the ear etc, making persistent demands). Often the voices do not allow the person any sleep, food etc. The demands and the constant chattering become unbearable. I have not studied enough charts to postulate theories, but maybe you could look to the arudas of rasi and divisionals for a personality conflict/disorder if the behaviour seems to intensify or become chronic. Considering the persons age, s/he may just be cruising the adolescent rascal cycle. Best Wishes, Ann. gjlist- Your use of is subject to
Guest guest
Hello J, The natural malefics in trines in Rasi chart, and in Navamsa can cause possession. Also look to the trines of the Trimsamsa. The indicator of evil voices/spirits can be any of the malefics Mars, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu. Serious affliction to Moon or Mercury can also cause possession. When the factors governing the mind are unprotected and weakened, the mind becomes susceptible to invasion from exterior negative energies. Please post his birth details and the time that his disturbances began. The dasa running at that time will indicate the cause of the illness. Also the cause of insanity can be properly assessed. In order to see the factors that cause insanity please look at the yogas for insanity on this webpage: http://www.vedic astrology.net/mentalde.htm Warm Regards, Alex J gjlist, urbanet wrote: > I'm studying a boy's Vedic horoscope with Libra ascendant (14 years > old). Guest guest
Thank you so much for this great response! Your explanation of the relation between Ketu and main significators is revealing, for a novice in Vedic astrology like myself. The main reason for posting is to understand this psychological problem from an jyotish perspective and of course the parents have sought and found traditional help for the boy's illness but no cure yet. So thanks once again.
