The Goddess has many names--readers may want to check out what the famous psychic Sylvia Browne says about Her. She calls her Azna. Plus, I have a friend who got some of us calling God/Krishna "Big Sweetie." (the Source of Love) I handle Mars energy by working out--I read somewhere that Mars rules cats, so I think of the energy and endorphins that come as big purry Mars energy coarsing happily through your veins. You can use the Mars energy for walking your talk. Plus always be protective of children, pets, anything weaker--I think the original Mars energy has to do with protectiveness, as the soldiers defend the people. Of course if you are a devotee of Divine Mother, i suppose you could look at Mercury as like Mother Saraswati..... in any case i wouldn't be so concerned with propitiating Mars himself, Unless you have access to a Pujari who can do the Pujas for your benefit to Mars...and Rahu.....i don't feel right in prescribing any mantras to you either, as they should be transmitted properly thru your Guru...or a Priest....or some such...thus the mantra would be empowered...What i would send to you, would only be a bunch of words...unless you got the mantra empowered by a Mahatma such as Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi...my Mother and Guru...You could try to visit Her when She comes to your area...She's in the Singapore neighbourhood every year (even soon i think!!)...(if you're still in Malaysia that is)....She's very approachable... For me, Mercury is represented by Ammachi...my Guru....it is Her Atmakaraka.......and looking at your chart and comparing with Hers leads me to be bold enough to suggest that you might have some connections with Her also.....if you feel drawn in that direction... So my suggestion is to develop a very strong, loving, relationship, in the Bhakta tradition, with your Beloved Deity, to include Her in all your daily activities, always talking to Her, and asking Her for help and inspiration, as well as Divine Love.... seeing that you and She are never apart...that She walks hand in hand with you...and when it's too difficult, She picks you up and carries you...and you rest content in Her loving Arms....Don't worry about renunciation, dear sister, Just develop Divine Love....and renunciation happens as necessary of itself...We don't have to force ourselves...that doesn't work...it should be natural, like the Lotus opening as the New born sun rises in the morning....natural, easy, loving...any force and you will destroy the beautiful flower that is within, and slowly trying to unfold....if you must cry, dear one, cry for your Beloved Deity....even 24 hours of this will create a great change....how do i know.....i cried and cried and called and called to my Divine Mother, and She answered...literally, in the form of Ammachi...my Guru, Who is the nearest of the near and the dearest of the dear! Really we shouldn't look at Mars as a trouble maker, despite what i've been saying about his tenanting of the 12th house as 7th lord.... Really, He is just an INDICATOR of potential problems in your life...like the sign on the road saying "Sharp Curve...Slow to 20kph"....if we don't slow down and crash, we can't blame the sign....it's not that the sign is "malefic" so much as it is warning us of "malefic" results if we are not careful enough... we should see Mars in the same way..... So the best way to offset these "malefic" indications of Mars...is to try to develop oneself in the other direction, the direction of Divine Love... and surrender to the Beloved Deity.... the Greater the Surrender to the Deity, the less effects Mars will be having in your life....and if truly surrendered, Mars will be no longer indicating "terrible things"...as you will see everything then, as Prasad...if we have this attitude the planets and their "effect" will be seen as a beautiful Cosmic Dance...and we will joyfully join in..... However, to go ahead and marry someone who you know you can never love, and will be leaving you lonely all the time....this is not a step in the right direction....why INVITE trouble? don't we have enough of it already? better to remain single!! Robin you hit the nail on the "head" with that one....Mars is a protector...and one can work with that kind of energy in very creative ways, as in a way he is the ENERGY of Creation...it's up to us, as to how we express that energy!... you know, Sri Sivaya Subramuniyaswami of Hinduism today, has said that Lord Murugan the god of War...has ACTUALLY come to END all wars...it's just that we "misunderstand"....and continue in our selfish quests.... However, in such a case as our friend, it IS a clear warning of being VERY careful around Mars energy...as it is easy to "lose" it even as a "protector"....and with this 7th lord Mars, in 12th house, one might expect that a lot of his energy will be around the issues of Marriage...in which case...one needs to be "protective" of ONESELF as well, and not alow oneself to knowingly go into a dangerous or difficult situation...this placement would give enough of that anyways, so why encourage the issue further? better to remain single than to live in such misery!!(perhaps that's why i'm currently and likely to remain, single!!)
