Dandavats. Many thanks with for your encouragement & also for your info about

gems. I agree with you, i too learn a lot from this list.

 

I have the feeling that gems are not my line. One day i bought an amathist

(beautiful) for a friend & he never show up. I still have it somewhere. I do

not have the karma to handle gems although i like them.

 

I know a friend that took about 2 years travelling in different countries to

find 9 gems for a navagraha kavacha to wear on his upper arm. He went to India

to set them and install them.

 

Recently, a friend of mine from this area i am living, went to India in an

spiritual journey. He left India the day before the earthquake. He invited me

to his house to see what he brought from India & among the best things there was

this beautiful emerald ring set on gold. My friend found a good astrologer in

his journeys who told him to wear an emerald. He was told that the cost was

£150 but that back in England he could get 10 times more for it. My friend went

to a local jeweller & paid £61 to evaluate the ring and was given a certificate

of evaluation saying that the ring is worth £3,400.

 

I am not an expert on gems but i remember that Bhattacharyya gives a priority on

the cosmic rays from the gems. I do not know if the heating process kills the

jiva within the stone or if affects the color. bhattacharyya says that although

a white pearl looks white, when seen under an spectometer, it looks orange. A

blue saphire looks violet. A citrine or yellow saphire looks blue etc. Below

there is his listing

 

Sun gems = red.

Moon = orange

Mars = Yellow

Mercury = green

Jupiter = blue

venus = indigo

Saturn = violet

Rahu = ultra-violet

ketu = infra-red

 

the color are given under the spectometer and as you can see they follow the

days of the week and the colors of the rainbow.

 

I feel that the structure of the crystals in every gem is also important but i

am not an expert.

 

There are books that warn against wearing black onix cos it has a bad jiva and

only some people can wear them. My feeling is that gems are like pets, if you

have a doberman, the dog can be aggressive against other people but if your

pet-friend, that dog can protect you. So, everything rests on rasa,

relationship is very important. If you have an afinnity with an animal or a

gem, that animal or gem can help you. I have heard that cats can be jaleous to

the point of wishing a miscarriage to their lady owners. Gems are likely to

have similar qualities either for good or for bad. Who knows? The vedas say

that there are jivas in plants & recentley, scientists found that plants react

to pain & pleasure. So, i feel that gems are potent because of the jivas inside

but i do not know if the jivas are killed in the process of heating.

 

Battacharyya says that the color is the most important. And i think that the

cutting of the gem could give a more focus on the radiation of the colors. just

like when we play with a glass amplifier to burn paper by focusing the rays of

the sun. The focus should be pointing to an small point of action if we want to

burn.

 

Battacharyya also says that by using a rotating wheel or impregnating neutral

pills with the color of the gems, we can save a lot of money & heal a lot of

people. There should be some truth on his findings otherwise why wasting more

than 30 years on his healing people.
