Guest guest
Take the nakshatra at birth. To this nakshatra number add 3 and divide by 8. The remainder would give the running yogini dasha. Mangala 1 year Pingala 2 year Dhanya 3 year Bhramari 4 years Bhadrika 5 years Ulka 6 years Siddha 7 years Sankata 8 years regards, Manoj _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Namaste, Sometimes I despair of ever learning all the names that can be used to describe various factors. Would someone please tell me what Pingala, Dhanya, Bhramari, Bhadrika, Ulka, Siddha, and Sankata means? Mangala I believe is Mars but heaven only knows what the rest are. Thank you, Phyl - Manoj Pathak <manojpathak <gjlist> Sunday, February 18, 2001 10:04 PM Re: [gjlist] How to calculate yogini dasas > Take the nakshatra at birth. In yogini Dasha, there are 8 yoginis. Eight planets represent eight different yoginis. The planets or the yoginis rule the periods of the native as written in the earlier post by Mr. Manoj. Mangala Dasha is represented or ruled by Moon. Thus moon rules one year. Moon is a natural benefic planet, otherwise if it is not afflicted. Hence this period is generealy considered good. Pingala - Sun Dhanya - Jupiter Brahamari- Mars Badrika - Mercury Ulka - Saturn Siddha - Venus Sankata - Rahu One can very well see the general nature of planets in the order of Dasha itself. Benefic and malefic planets rule the 36 years alternately. Therefore, a dasha period of Rahu and antar dasha of mars generally may not be a good one. Of course this may vary subject to the placement and relationship of planets among themselves, towards ascendant and other factors. regards, Ravindramani Get personalized email addresses from Mail - only $35 a year! http://personal.mail./
