Guest guest
Hi, this is my view. The great Parasara Muni did not mention aspirines but they are a great remedial measure for headhaches, should we refuse their help cos Parasara's omission? Is anything wrong to try to improve the quality of our life? Yes, i know, there is the risk of increasing our desire to enjoy maya, but if we are going to be here for a little while (maybe another million lives), better to start to improve our quality of life. The jiva, the living being, the soul, you, me, them, us, is the observer. We observe in front of us two planes. One is the absolute plane where we do not need any remedial measure otherwise we could not be there. The other is the relative plane, the one we are at present. On the relative plane we are in constant need. we need all the help that can come to us to alleviate our miseries either physical, mental or spiritual. Otherwise what was the need of the great Dhanvantar avatar to appear & give us the ayurvedic system? In the next 1000 years there are going to be further medicines appearing on the market. Should we refuse them cos Parasara's omission? The Vedas advise us to surrender to the Supreme, to the source of life, knowledge and bliss; Sat Cid Ananda vigraha, but according to our own capacity. First we have to learn to crawl, later on how to walk and much later how to run. We are in a hoples position, we do not know how to surrender and we need a lot of remedial measures to cope with the pressure of the environment. Maybe some among us are already on the path of surrender but most of us are still depending on our cruches, cos without them we will fall. There was a "guru" that used to tell his godbrothers and godsisters "surrender to me cos i am the crystal medium to your guru". He caused a lot of mental miseries directly & indirectly. Later on, he gave up his temporal position but there are still a lot of people picking up the pieces. So, surrender is a nice word but difficult to understand. Eventually, real surrender to the right source will come either in this or next life. The guru within shows you the mountain but it is you that have to go up that mountain, no the guru. We have to do our homework, not the guru. The guru promises to come back life after life to help those that have not pass the last exam, but there are a lot of people that thinks that initiation means the end of struggles cos the guru takes all the blame. Initiation is just the beginning of the struggles under the supervision of a competent teacher. The astrologer is like a guide exposing the trends & prescribes remedial measures. Mantras, yantras, ayurveda, common sense, gems, everything that works & helps is welcome. Yes, there are gems that do not work and cheaters as well but there are a lot of bona fide astrologers doing their best to help people. The best book i have read about the benefit given by gems is Gem Therapy by Battacharya. The book describes the experiencies of treating people with gems. He describes ayurvedic knowledge and how the unbalance of kappha, pitha and vata produces 20, 40, or 80 different illnesses & how to treat them with cosmic color rays radiated by the gems. The navagraha yantra or the set of 9 gems representing the 9 planets is used to treat illnesses like tuberculosis or cancer in cases where the 3 doshas are derranged. Basically the book describes two methods, one is the application of gem colors with a rotating motor and the other is similar to homeopathy in which neutral pills are bathed in alchol impregnated with gem colors. The book describes the results of more than 30 years of experience. For those wanting to expand their use of gems, the book is very useful. natabara
Guest guest
DEAR NATABRA, NAMASKAAR, Your views are very correct, In India there is a quote in Hindi BHUKHE PET NA BHAJAN HOYE GOPALA, it means a hungry man can not recite the name of the Lord. Here hunger is in broad sense covering incomplete desires of human being. I will narrate an example which is relevant . About one year back , A young couple visited me . The couple was married since three years back. They enquired from me without horoscope through horary. I guessed that problem is related with the sex and sickness. I told my finding to the couple and asked them to explain their problem. The couple confirmed my finding and told me that they were not able to make complete physical contact. They had tried all medical treatments and finally came to me. I find out that the boy has loss of confidence and the lady is shy to take full part in the act . This story may be amazing for my western friends , but Indian Culture is so strong that even if the lady was getting nothing from the Husband , she was not ready to leave her husband. Now what an Astrologer will do in this type of case. I recommended some stone to the couple. Next thing I advised was to Go for Porn films.( Porn films are available illegally in India) This was required and to make their life successful only this was the way out. Astrology is a practical Science. The couple is all right and happy now. With regards, Inder Jit Sahni.
