Hi Anna,

If you decide to use a Jupiter stone per Robert's advice, "...put on a Yellow

Sapphire, or other less expensive yellow gems for Jupiter

(Topaz, Yellow beryl, Citrine, etc.) to stipulate and balance the energies of

Jupiter." bear in mind that these stones are all generally heated and/or

irradiated stones. In fact most citrine is not citrine at all, rather it is heat

treated amethyst that in the heating process looses it's characteristic purple

color and becomes yellow/golden in hue. Is it then a Saturn stone or a Jupiter

stone? Just some food for thought.

Om Krishnaaya Namah

While I agree that gems don't pacify malefics, I disagree with you about

mantras. Mantras are a method of worship. The words "Namahpranamamyaham"

etc. so common in planetary mantras (pauranic and tantrik) all roughly

translate to "I offer my respectful obesances to..." The Grahas are

demigods. As Sri Krishna says in the Bhagavad Gita, demigod worshippers will

get materialistic benefits very quickly. Parashara also says that if a Graha

Devata is worshipped, it won't give bad effects. Sri Brahmaji has given the

Grahas a boon, that they may bestow good effects on their worshippers. So I

disagree with your statement that mantras won't pacify planets.

Personally I haven't experimented with the Graha mantras for Graha Shanti. I

feel that by worshipping my Lord, Sri Krishna, in various ways, I get the

goods directly from the manufacturer :-) And of course that way, I don't

lose my efforts at death. If I have to come back next time, my work is saved

(as promised in the Gita).

Bye-Bye,

Pursottam

You might be right about Citrine, and thanks for that

information. However, I know of at least two very reliable and competent

Vedic gemologists (and I'm sure there are more, if you look for them) who

acquire Yellow Sapphire *at the source* thus guaranteeing their being

non-heat-treated. The best advice to Ann, therefore, should be to search

for reliable sources, rather than discourage Yellow Sapphire

altogether. If anybody wants information on competent Vedic gemologists,

send me a private email.

With regards,

Robert
