Guest guest
Dear Zoran, I have read your article on Atmakaraka on sjvc.net. The article goes to explain in depth the importance of Atmakaraka in a horoscope. Following are my birth details: Born on Sept 7, 1962 at 6:11PM in Pune, India (18N34, 73E58) My atmakaraka is the moon, who is the sixth lord debilitated in the tenth. In Navamsa he is in the second house (kumbha) with Guru. Here is my interpretation: 1. The moon being the sixth lord and debilitated in the tenth with good shadbala, gives victory over enemies, but yet destroys the 10th house. So during Moon Dasa there should be lot of trouble with regards to professsional accomplishments. There may be dismissals. The evil is lessened due to association with Guru in Navamsa. 2. Since he is in the second with Guru in navamsa, and in Scorpio in rasi (Jyestha Nakshatra), I would be involved in religious practices and charity. I have seen in some books, that this combination makes the individual in charge of temples. I am an amateur at best.... Can you shed some light on this? Currently, I am a very materialistic individual with my own sense of god and religion. I try to lead an honest life at best. Thanks Venkatesh

Guest guest
Dear Manvantara, Atma means self, while karak means indicator. IT is the most personal planet in a chart. According to Parashar, if Atmakarak is adverse, all other grahas cannot predominate in sharing their effects. While some astrologers opine that atma would promote house significations, my Jyotish Guru Pt. Sanjay Rath opines that Atma would punish the person for its sins to promote spiritual upliftement, which is the REAL GOAL of each ATMA to find its REAL HOME-GOD..It is for that reason that Ketu in 12th house from karakamsa, in aries/dhanu under aspect of benefics will grant moksha, while atmakarak in pisces navamsa(pisces is natural 12th house of moksha) will grant final emancipatin as well. My experience is as follows: 1. The person's innate nature will be well described by atmakaraka graha karakatwas and its position in the chart 2. House placement of atmakaraka is always a place where a person has to suffer within atmakaraka karakatwas and its combination with the house karakatwas, while the suffering will be the crucial key and powerfull tool for spiritual and personal maturity and growth. Even people with shukra as atmakaraka in 11th house will expereince some pain related to 11th house significations, that would enhance their spiritual awareness. Let's have a look at Atmakaraka inVenkatesh chart if he doesn't mind.. I will restrict to Atmakaraka judgement only for the purpose of brief explanation When atma rules 6th house its significations may be endangered. 1. Your innate nature should have chandra karakatwas, however in scorpio mars qualities will be there. You should have deep sensibility and hyperemotional attitude, prone to anger and ravengful reactions You should learn how to cope with that. 2. The 6th house karakatwas will offer a lot of punishment due to an illness, accidents, enemies paricularly within domain of 10th house(work related areas) By outcoming these problems, you will gain more spiritual awareness. This will directly influence your self since chandra falls in kumba navamsa which directly relates to lagna(rashi-tulya navamsa tehnique) Guru and chandra in swamsa are considered good, as far as navamsa is concerned.. Therefore, brief advice is to cultivate your mentality, learn mental balance avoid revangeful attitude and extremism in life and particularly in professional career. To judge moon dasha, many other parametars will have to be checked. The rest later, Best wishes, Zoran > > > > Born on Sept 7, 1962 at 6:11PM in Pune, India (18N34, 73E58) > > > > My atmakaraka is the moon, who is the sixth lord debilitated in the > > tenth. Guest guest
Dear Zoran, Following are my comments on your reading: Your thoughts: ============= When atma rules 6th house its significations may be endangered. Your innate nature should have chandra karakatwas, however in scorpio mars qualities will be there. You should have deep sensibility and hyperemotional attitude, prone to anger and ravengful reactions You should learn how to cope with that. My comments: =========== You are absolutely right. I am quite prone to anger if I sense injustice. Many times I feel like taking revenge, but I always bottle up my feelings. I start avoiding the people who I dislike. Over time, I forget the issues and do not bear grudges. I have not so far excercised my feelings for revenge. Whenever I feel that innustice has been done, I talk it out with some one. However, this does affect my health. At home, I have learnt not to lose my temper over the years. It is very rare these days. I am quite passionate about my work, trying to be perfect to the best of my abilities. This takes a lot of energy out of me. I do not know if I need to control this aspect as well. Your thoughts: ============= The 6th house karakatwas will offer a lot of punishment due to an illness, accidents, enemies paricularly within domain of 10th house related areas). By outcoming these problems, you will gain more spiritual awareness. This will directly influence your self since chandra falls in kumba navamsa which directly relates to lagna(rashi- tulya navamsa tehnique)Guru and chandra in swamsa are considered good, as far as navamsa is concerned..Therefore, brief advice is to cultivate your mentality, learn mental balance avoid revangeful attitude and extremism in life and particularly in professional career. My comments =========== So far, I have had health problems (Anxiety/Panic Attacks) and stress. These are due to concerns about the longevity of my profession, talent and income. In every job I have had, I notice that I tend to develop some adversaries. However over time, these adversaries tend to disappear. I always wonder why this happens. It is not my nature to try and supercede someone!! I wonder why I come across as a threat to anybody. By and large I have had good relations with supervisors. But I always feel the message from them seems to be "Do it or else....". I am not able to be frank with them or stand up for myself. If I feel extreme pressure, I leave the organization. 3.MOON DASA ============= I totally dread this time period. I am not sure what lessons have to be learnt, but not a day goes by without worrying about this 10 year peiod. I only hope, I won't be poor or in bad health. Born on Sept 7, 1962 at 6:11PM in Pune, India (18N34, 73E58) My atmakaraka is the moon, who is the sixth lord debilitated in the tenth. In Navamsa he is in the second house (kumbha) with Guru.
