This is an interlude: PC striking, temporary email connection established!

At first I thank Raghu for his suggestion to gather stones wisely!

As perhaps an admirer of Rudolf Steiner (Stein = stone) I love stones and do

collect them: only small ones that don´t call for a larger apartment!

I collect druses: stones, which if cut through, are hollow and contain wonderful

crystals. The most beautiful druses are in museums. New York and Washington have

HUGE druses! Some are over 6 feet in diameter! I collect very tiny ones, max

about 2 inches in dia. for then they get rather expensive.

But I don´t keep most of these: I give them to children whom I particularly find

"awake". At firs6 they are stand-offish. Then I say, "I´d like to give you a

small present: you can refuse to take it, or politely take it but also say it

looks ugly!" I stick the two halves of the druse with scotch tape so it looks

like a pebble and offer it to the child. Sometimes it takes it, says it is

"nice" or ugly, or refuses it! Whatever the answer, I then tell it to take off

the tape and see what is inside. The child does it and the eyes grow big with

wonder! It is then always accepted. But then I say," God has hidden wonderful

things everywhere, but only those who love him and search or these wonders will

find them!"ü

>From that moment the child gets a new attitude to God! It talks to its parents

about Him, wants to know more! A future devotee is guaranteed!.....

Muscle testing? ...... An answer has been given, I think.

But here something else:

In India, south of Poona (Pune) there is a tiny village called Khed. Actually

there are two, the right one is on the road to Satara, but it is best to get

info from the government tourist office. BUT ONLY from the Pune office, NO other

tourist office has this info!!!! Best hire a taxi at Pune to take you there.

At this Khed there lived a moslem saint about 1000 AD. He had 9 disciples. One

day he told them that his hour was approaching, he would die before sunset. His

disciples cried out, "Master, what can we do without you?" He replied, " Go and

pick a large piece of rock!2. The place is full of rocks, some very huge, others

about 200 pounds in weight. They picked one. He sdaid," each one of you should

lay a finger on the rock and then call me by name!" TZhey did so - and the rock

rose up into the air as long as they intoned his name! He then said, "I am

always with you. Whenever 9 disciples call me thus, I shall come!"

The original rock is long destroyed by falling and breking. But the tomb of the

saint is preserved and an islamic maulvi is in charge. Periodically he selects a

new stone.

If nine persons layvtheir fingers on the stone and call the name of the saint in

unison and loudly, the stone rises up in the air! Bad voices, stopped intonation

etc. are rewarded equally: rising low and falling quickly. But if doe right the

stone flies up to 10 feet, hovers and falls when the last breath ceases.

I have seen this!

The time of "stones" is in the list. Recently "stones" were thrown at each

other, now info about stones is exchanged.

Much philosophy and religion has now been brought in, but I feel the core of the

thing has been neglected.

Let us assume that our free will can be excercised to channge events. The use of

stones as crystals may be a way to do so. The info from Edgar Cayce suggests

this.

It is said that having amethyst crystals or a "Siva" stone wards off poverty and

ill-luck. I have both. Poverty remains, but not "hunger"! No particular luck

except luck in disaster!... If I didn´t have the said stoes, would I have

starved to death or been killed in accidents?

The ancient texts give lapidary info. (Lapidary = stony, "just that") They do

not tell us how to "judge" the quality except to say they should be "perfect".

But how does one know what is perfect?

The average jeweller is neither astrologer nor interested in esoteric matters.

The owner of an esoterik shop is NOT a jeweller! He offers gems that are yellow,

green etc. and when finally asked "How do you know it is good?" the answer is "I

have tested it witth my pendulum!" BIG DEAL! You have to rely on his honesty,

capacity as a pendulum expert, his esoteric knowledge etc.

One thing about gems sold in esoteric shops: they are "raw" and lack "lustre"!

The texts insist on "lustre", what did they mean? Did they mean "brilliance",

which can be possible only if the stone is properly facetted? Or just appearance

as compared to a "piece of stone" - a transparence? Even then, a layman cannot

differentiate between a raw diamond and a piece of quartz, or an emerald and a

piece of malachit!

How will you know you have bought the right stone?

Even amongst astrologers there is a fundamental difference of opinion as to

which is better: strengthening the effects of the friend - or the enemy, as

propitiation?

All astrological info is either revealed or empirically compliled as per

statistics. Except Parasara and jaimini all sources are only empirical. Even

Parasara and Jaimini may not have understood all that was revealed!

Statistically, how many cases could Varahamihira have analyzed? Probably LESS

than any of you savants! .......

So the "Use of Gems" issue is not helped by quotations, BUT only by your

experience - and this has to be supported by the following analysis: chart said

"hopeless" but use of gem changed situation. But that too is well nigh

impossoible! If one of you offers such an example, others will say the chart did

not say "hopeless" and that the chamnge occurred through some other effect:

there are enough vargas, dasas, upagrahas, transits etc. to explain these

changes!

When things get real bad, its best to pray. Till the prayer takes effect it is

cheaper and more pleasant to get stoned!

regards

Mani
