Guest guest
Hello The fact is that it does blend, the bad brings down the good and the good brings up the bad. I'll give an example: I know a woman who has exalted Jupiter in the 7th. Sounds good. Looks good. Exalted Jupiter in an angle. But that means it's lord of the 12th and 3rd. So this is a case where a malefic for the ascendent (Lord of 3rd and 12th is not a good lord) is exalted and aspecting the ascendent directly. In my book, the 12th lord carries some of those undesireable twelfth house attributes, and in this case add to that the difficult things the 3rd house gives. So exalted in the 7th? Is it "good" or "bad". I say that this Jupiter will carry draining of energy and difficulty in having a happy house to the house of spouse. In other words, the spouse, though being in some way of high order, will not be a person who gives her happiness in her home, and who drains her energy. She had an affair with a Guru once. That's perfect. Then, she got pregnant by a millionaire, who is rather uptight on her in many ways, and they're breaking up, and to get away from him she has to accept no money at all, her choice, to get fully away, so now she's poorer and more wiped out than before, and while they lived together, she was in hell in his well healed home. That brings us up to date on her life. So these things do mix. I know a girl who has Jupiter exalted in the third, Sun in the 12th, Moon in the first, and Venus in the 11th. 4 exalted planets. She's about 17, and totally lazy, undirected, a loser, uneducated, behind her peers by far, very pretty, and a total worry to her parents. She's so blessed, she can't be bothered with anything, even learning how to write correctly. She lives in LA LA LAND as we say... That's what happens when you have benefics in houses where you need malefics if anything at all, in order to create a balanced healthy life. I'll tell you, you rarely meet a really good person or I mean a person who has really good karma that you want to talk about brightly in the open. Most chart sessions are going over a map of misery and pain. Most people have more negatives to deal with than positives. As Dasanudas said, the world isn't here for our convenience. Life is tough. People may have exalted planets, but if they are good lords in good houses, something also negative will come of it. Yes, exalted planets can be terrible. Definitely. Take lordships a bit more seriously. Exaltation gives strength- but to what and where- it's the what a where that matters more I've learned. I was at first depressed that I didn't have any when I first got into Jyotish- no exalted planets I thought- what a bummer. Now I know much better than that. A "good" exalted planet is rare. Having exlated planets means nothing if they aren't good planets, good lords, in good houses. They often cause burdens of over-excess in some area, often in a negative way in life actually. I have Jupiter in Cancer in its highest point of exaltation in the 2nd house. I'm in Jupiter Mahadasha since 1995 and I tell you, my finances are worse than ever. And in general, even though I handled lots of money during my Rahu Mahadasha, personally I never had a good economical situation. DK Pd. by the way, I also have Saturn and Mars exalted in the 5th and 8th respectively
