Guest guest
Dear Visvanathan Prabhu, I'm glad you like these spiritual ideas, but please don't praise me. I am just a fallen idiot like most everybody else in this world, certainly NOT any kind of avatar. If I seem to have a good idea or two, it's only by inspiration of Paramatma, and I have absolutely no credit in the matter, except I happen to be listening to Him sometimes when I am not too distracted by my ego. Regarding Rahu-Ketu, certainly sometimes God appears in this world in a covered feature. It may be helpful to see all the planets like that. I was just struck by the unique features of these particular Deities, and the correspondence in the ways that Rahu-Ketu work with the Divine Couple, considering how often the most wonderful spiritual insights and liberation may come in the most difficult of times materially. For instance my dear friend KK has Rahu in the 4th in Taurus. She is in Rahu Maha-dasa now, and though things are materially difficult for her, she has come into contact with pure devotees of Vishnu and is making wonderful spiritual progress. If I have learned anything from studying Jyotish so far, it is how impossible it is to achieve certainty in matters of the Divine by our own efforts. The future is invisible to us. Anyone can cast a chart, and we can get a very good idea of personality attributes and temporal trends like dashas and transits from it. But can anybody make detailed and accurate predictions just by mentally speculating on the chart? The ongoing, sometimes heated discussion about various arcane Jyotish matters on this list is evidence that there is great uncertainty about the meaning of various chart features in prediction, even among experienced Jyotishis. It's kind of like the stock market: one time you make a prediction based on the chart and you win, the next time you fall flat on your face. There are invisible (to us) factors in operation in both cases. Yet some few special Jyotishis are observed to make very detailed, accurate predictions consistently. All of them that I know of attribute this ability to Divine inspiration. Therefore I think in the ultimate issue, the greatest thing Jyotish may have to teach us is not to rely too much on our own defective intelligence. So I am happy to make your acquaintance, just please don't become too effusive in your appreciation. I am fallible and imperfect just like anyone else here. Looking forward to continuing our Jyotish dialogue. Best regards always, Dasanudas http://www.harinam-arts.org/
