My life has been lacking in love, but at least laughter was granted! God blesseth those who strive for peace. All too often it ends up in "peaceth" = pieces with a lisp! Moslems always say, after mentioning Mohammed, "peace be on his hesd!" Unfortunately the Arab pronunciation of "peace" is "piss", which colours their peace/piss talks. History is full of peace-makers who were assassinated. May God preserve Raghu for us! But why does this happen? Perhaps true peace is not yet on the agenda. God´s kingdom on earth will "close down the school", when all have graduated. Somehow I feel that this closing down is not very far off.......... At least here in Germany there is a definite trend towards "seeking the truth". Religion and philosophy are discussed in the media in a more open manner, not deriding. The mysteries of nature are shown, with the underlying tone that there is a plan and a Planner. Darwinism is mentioned, of course, but more questioningly. My real surname is "sastri". And I am happy to see that science is striving towards being "sastra" - the rules devised by God, perhaps even some that He Himself is subject to, not a matter of chance. GOD DOES NOT THROW DICE! Although I agree with Chris that teleological thinking is not right, on a cosmic scale everything is "teleological" IMHO. The earth and its physical conditions are "planned" to support the life that it supports! >>Manis idea of SadaSati being not so bad <> mine Raghu, the funny symbol <> is unknown to me. Does it mean you agree or disagree? I expect "agree". Considering that each sadesati lasts for over 7 years, considering that there are only 2 real benefics, 2 possible benfics, all of which can become malefics by house lordship, that SS applies to moon, lagna and sun, the question is, for most people, "When am I not in ss?" ..... "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times...." - Charles Dickens, "Tale of two Cities". There are times when one has to to go to the Supreme Being and say, "To hell with the planets, HELP ME!" And the help comes!!! Sri Sai Baba once changed the lines on the palm of a devotee... and the lines reflect the horoscope! The recent discussions were very interesting, but clouded by the aggressiveness. To put forward arguments vehemently is great, but not by questioning the abilities, intelligence etc. of the participants in a debate. Saying "You are a fool" is no way to argue. Such statements reflect more the "uncertainty" of the person presenting the argument! Why not say, " Look, here is my view and experience. How do you explain it with your logic?" A debate should decide on issues, or leave them open as "As yet undecided", NOT decide who was louder! And when it comes to interpretation of Sanskrit texts: NO ONE TODAY CAN CLAIM TO INTERPRET CORRECTLY! Even if the books were written for the future, they were written in the contemporary idiom, could not foresee any other interpretations in the future. We have lost that idiomatic understanding. In the south there is a musical instrument, a kind of trumpet. It is most frequently called "Nadaswaram" = sound of music! Actually it should be called, as is occasionally the case, "Nagaswaram" = music as per elephant! The instrument produces a sound like that of an elephant. Again, the word naga can mean elephant or snake. The word sarpa can mean snake or something that moves rapidly and sinuously - often radiations of waves! claiming to have read all the texts may be valid, but having understood them? ..... hmmmm .......Did the sarpastra throw out cobras or gamma rays? The victims withered, were not bitten! Om shanthi, shanthi, shanthihi! regards Mani > Some programming code for the day: > > NASA = nodally afflicted saturnian astrology (my type) > > good astrology = not(Western astrology+solar arcs+Noel Tyl) > > Tall Blonde Tan Men in Suits = not(good astrologers) > > george bush = Banks + Corporate Law + Exploitation + Stupid People Voting > > Material Life = Misled Jiva Soul + Ego + Lots of bad activities + Reactions > > Drugs = round(Afflictions + Benefics) > > Drugs2 = (Nodes+sensitive points) * (agitated Venus / mars) > > not(drugs) = good saturn in angles > > Manis idea of SadaSati being not so bad <> mine > > das g = wasting time + having fun > > result = better get back to work > > > > > gjlist- > > >
Guest guest
Dear Mani, Good to feel your spirit is high. On science matter, I am not sure I can agree with you- how come that we know so little about human mind, life.. And when you say, God help me, no matter what my chart is like- and He always does- I feel that strongly to be the true... It doesn't deny the importance of the chart- but that the Lord is above all of us, charts and life.. That's maybe what is hard to predict. Some 15 years ago, I planned to go to Puthapatri to meet Sai Baba- Unfortunatelly I missed that opurtunity, believing, naively, that I would have pleenty of them..who knows, maybe I will(?) Would you tell us more about Sai Baba? I haven't read anything about him, from him, for more than 10 years. You wrote: "Considering that each sadesati lasts for over 7 years, considering that there are only 2 real benefics, 2 possible benfics, all of which can become malefics by house lordship, that SS applies to moon, lagna and sun, the question is, for most people, "When am I not in ss?"- I considered SS when it's in 12th, 1st, and 2nd- from the Moon only- now you say , moon, lagna, sun...I'd like to hear more. And so many malefics, and potential malefics- life seems more like a punishment- only if we can surrender, will our perception change. But it's so hard to surrender, isn't t? Recently my son's friend, who is 28, saturn return, (Saturn on the Asc), asked me(!!!) about her depression- i said Most people feel that way at saturn return, but it certainly brings maturity, and is a turning point for establishing a mature life..etc... She said, I feel that saturn has always been with me, experiencing that return... in fact, she is right... Try to surrender- I said- "But everybody is talking, one way or another about our power to control, positive thinking being the most stupid cliche.." Sounds true to me... Social "poison", I would say.. Regards, Anna
