Guest guest
Hi! My last mail re. transits did not get any answer! The older and bolder the colder the shoulder! i hve perhaps written to much Bs during the last weeks and now nobody takes me seriously. Fine. But Bs is good manure for plants and thoughts. So more of it: Who´s afraid of Virginia Woolf? I´ve been theoretically in my third sade sati since june or so last year, but saturn went back to aries and gets to taurus soon. Looking back, I must say that nothing terrible happened during the last 2 SS periods. The first coincided with my school years, I was a bit sickly, life at home was not pleasant at all - tyrannical father - but a period of personal success. Certainly sad memories, but also very happy periods. The second was also similar: unhappy relationship with wife - which started earlier and ended later - but very happy periods with children, career etc. Even saturn´s transit over my natal sun was of a mixed nature - positive and negative. Saturn is yogakaraka, jupiter atmakaraka for me. Checking various periods I come to the conclusion that they affect me badly only when retrograde! Otherwise it is like life: good and bad mixed, neither predominating..... So SS is not necessarily a total disaster: only increased vulnerability. Martin Gansten, whose opinions I respect, said that he does not take dasas, transits etc. TOO seriously, goes by natal and progressions/directions mainly. regards Mani
Guest guest
Dear Mani, I can just share my SS experience- particularly contact with nt.Moon- difficult period, my mother was hard to deal with- it was impossible to please her, she was unreasonably demanding and dissatisfied, I have hever seen her suffering that much, yet all my attempts to prove how much I care about her, finished in vain.. Due to the conjunction of our Moons, she was in SS as well...She blamed me that I didn't care enough about her, I suffered because of her pain- it was all gone (I was afraid that our relationship would never be the same), when Saturn moved .. She said, sorry I was crazy, I was glad she was back...Like never ever anything happened... Other than that, everything else was OK...career-wise, as in your experience.. Guest guest
Hello Mani, Precisely this is what I have been telling my friends and consultors all around. Sade Sati is no terrible thing to happen in one's life. Normally a person shall undergo three cycles of Sade Sati. You would be surprised to know that the so called ill effects of Sade Sati made Indira Gandhi the Prime Minister of India and if becoming Prime Minister of a country is construed as a bad effect, then Sade Sati should be bad. Even her father, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru became Prime Minister, when he was undergoing Sade Sati, if I remember correctly. There is a compilation of articles by research students under the guidance of Sh. K.N. Rao and the book is titled as Sade SAti only, and after going through those live examples, those who still fear Sade Sati would feel secured against this transit of Saturn over natal Moon. with best regards, Manoj _______________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Dear Manoj, Namaste - At 10:33 AM 1/25/01 +0530, you wrote: >There is a compilation of articles by research students under the guidance >of Sh. If you take only examples of powerful and famous people, then there are going to be Raja-yogas supporting the Moon and lagna in the chart most likely. In such situations, the transit of Saturn over the Moon gives a rise in power, al beit not without considerable difficulty. For the millions of common persons - the charts of whom you will see on a daily basis if you do astrology professionally - the sade-sati is indeed a very difficult and challenging time. Look for the quantifiers so far as the expected results of Sade-sati are: 1. How strong is the natal Moon by sign and house position? 2. Is the Moon involved in Raja, or other reinforcing yogas natally? Or, are there Arishta yogas (yogas for impasse or bad karmas) that the Moon is involved with? 3. How strong is the Moon in Vimsopak-bala, or frequency in exalted or own vargas? 4. Is the Moon strong in its own, as well as Sarva-ashtakavarga? 5. Finally, and most importantly, how strong and reinforcing (or otherwise) are the operative dasas occurring simultaneously with the Sade-sati? - If you look at many charts, apart from the powerful and famous, then you will see that many people experience serious impasses, health problems, separations, etc. during the Sade-sati. - For example: How about President Clinton's Sade-sati in 1998? We all know that story. Because of the strength of Raja-yogas in his chart, the Sade-sati got him disgraced and impeached, but not thrown out of office. Strong Sarvashtakavarga points reinforce his 10th house (which was aspected by transit Saturn while in progress over his Moon), while the Moon sign itself - Aries - happens to be the Navamsa lagna. Navamsa lagna is reinforced by the positioning of Mars, its lord, plus exalted Sun. Transit Saturn over this Navamsa lagna (and natal Moon sign) could not possibly defeat him, and I wrote about his before the fact back in early 1998. Anyway, other dasas beside Vimsottari, were strong also, thus enabling him to emerge victoriously in the end, yet not unscathed. My point is that, it is reckless to say that Sade-sati is understated. There are many qualifiers that must be born in mind. The fact is, the nobody has a good time when the Moon gets hit hard by Saturn, however high he/she rises as a result.
