Guest guest
Dandavats Robert <<Still, the outers were not a part of Parasari astrology, for whatever reason (the possibilities given by you above), and so they can never really be implemented with the essential methodologies of Jyotish.>> I too have the same opinion. The outer planets are very especial & the way i see them (without disrespect to the gods) is by dreaming a foot-ball team with 9 players or so to represent the planets or nava graha. Uranus is like the trainer of the team, Neptune is like the doctor and Pluto is like the manager counting the costs. Yamaraja kiyay. <<Those that are extra-Saturnine, may not be considered as such (although they sure give you a good kick in the butt by transit, whether or not you consider that karma!).>> Yes, they have something in their plan. They know more than us of what is going on and they correct us, in my experience i would say more than a kick. <<So really, the only way you are going to integrate the outer planets into the scheme of Vedic astrology, is to see their transits, or natal contacts. >> Yes, that is how i feel, and using intuition as well. <<So far as the naksatras underlying the most important predictive methods in Jyotish: including the outers, would be like mixing oil with water (in other words, they will never mix). >> The naksatras have the map of our life measured in time. The outers are marking cosmic cycles. <<You would have to create an entirely new predictive system, which would have virtually nothing to do with Vedic astrology as we know it. >> I think that if we ever find some vedic literature giving info about the outers, they are definitevely not included in the vedic system of prediction. It is another system with a different function which i can not even imagine at present. Best wishes, Natabara Das
