Guest guest
Hi! DON`T bother to read this at all, for I´m only thinking aloud ........ And I am a heretic! The South Indian chart is clockwise, the rest of the world repüresents the chart anti-clockwise. Why? I think it is because South Indians developed astrology when they lived south of the equator! For anyone living south of the equator the signs rise in clockwise order, for those in the north, anti-clockwise. The legends in the south of India support this view. The ballads sing of a land far away to the south. India itself broke off from Australia and got pushed on to Asia, causing the himalayan ranges. It is not clear whether the South Indians already lived on the land which drifted north. The nostalgig ballads suggest a land further south. Lemuria? I have read that the Australian aborigines celebrate certain festivals which coincide with (South) Indian festivals. I am not sure. But there is a similarity of physiognomy between the Australian aborigenes and the orginal people of South India and Ceylon. ..... God created all. Did he reserve higher knowledge for a few? Why? Could it not be that he "revealed" the truth to all groups? The names of the signs and planets in the south indian system are entirely different from the sanskrit or western. They are NOT translations, but entirely different designations. Some of the basic tenets of Jaimini seem to fit only the south indian chart. He was most likely a south indian. Is his system invalid? I think we should get away from chauvinistic attitudes. To say that only those things are true that were expressed in sanskrit, arose in Aryan circles etc. is, IMHO, thinking with blinkers. Truth is many sided and only a synthesis can bring us nearer to it. ...
