Guest guest
I have not received any messages today in my email but looked on the page to see many including the ones requesting the Mrityu Bhaga chart which I sent. It is a big scan so cut it by 50% for better viewing. This is the first time I have not received my messages! Can some computer whiz give me an explanation why? Guest guest
Andrew-- I'm copying the list on this reply because it's useful information to have in diagnosing email problems. My apologies to those who do not appreciate the off-topic discussion. (Gemini moon, sorry.) I checked your service provider's mail exchangers; as of just a few minutes ago, both of them (mx.ozemail.com.au and server3.syd.mail.ozemail.net) are apparently in perfect health. I also checked your providers domain name servers, and both of them (oznet.ozemail.com.au and oznet02.ozemail.com.au) are also apparently in perfect health. I have noticed that it's taken several hours to redistribute messages today, but I =have= been getting messages. (Mail exchangers are dedicated computers which know how to handle, say, all the email for an enterprise such as ozemail.com.au, so when wants to send you mail, it needs to look up the mail exchanger for ozemail in something called a domain server. In addition to their other duties, domain servers provide that list of mail exchangers =and= they also provide a network address which tells the email transport services how to FIND that mail exchanger once it's been identified (that's actually their primary function).) Fortunately, can tell you if they've been having problems sending you email. Go to www., sign on as you normally would, and select the link called "My Profile" (it's the second icon in that row of four close to the top left corner). Scroll down to the very bottom and you'll see a section called "Account Status." In that section there is a subsection called "Most recent messages.": See if anything appears for today, then look down at "Last Bounce Message." If it's not self-explanatory (and it probably won't be), copy it, paste it into an email to me, and I'll decypher it for you if I can. If you don't see a last bounce message, just copy everything in the Account Status section and email me that. jpd
