Guest guest
GJ has for awhile, since like 1.92 or something around there, used code from Mark Pottenger's CCRS Western program as it's planetary calculational engine. It does include many lunar perterbation elements. His code is based on the NASA/JPL "Improved Lunar Ephemeris". There is also the question of ayanamsa coming into play or are you using no ayanamsa in my program? I'm open to helping sort it out. But, I just employed this code as I received it. One has to receive their planetary code from somewhere. I got mine from Mark. He's pretty into following JPL closely. All code brings you to Tropical longitudes, then you work with an ayanamsa. There, there are differences, so it's important to look at that factor. I certainly do not have my planets based on Surrya Sidhanta. It's all NASA/JPL. Guest guest
Jaya Sri Ram Hi Das-- I don't think there are any questions regarding GJ's accuracy, just in how we amateurs use it. And I would agree, Mark Pottenger is about the best source there is. Sorry for the false alarm. jpd
