Guest guest
Dear Andrew, Thanks for this post- informative as usual. Yes, western astrology considers Rahu as being of Jupiter's nature, perhaps for the reasons you mentioned. As for "aura" around the head of saints- I have never considered that in relationship with Sun- Sun is not even close to the nature of saints, in my feeling. I've always understood that as BIOENERGY- it's usually yellow orange in colour... The fact that ancient people were aware of that, and that modern science needed material proof, in a form of Kirlian photography of aura, to accept this, to me obvious thing, amazes me. That's warm aura of knowledge, Jupiterian compassion- I don't think Sun would have much to do there... I am curious to hear how you made that connection with Sun. Guest guest
Dear Anmar The light aroung the head of saints is probably more symbolic of the pure white light of the Kundalini Shakti than the actual Sun. Sometimes words cannot convey these things clearly but the Sun in Vedic astrology is symbolic of the self or soul nature of a person. In particular it relates to seeing ourselves as individuals and seperate from all other forms of existense. When the Sun is in conjunction with Ketu it can destroy this sense of the self and show a selfless person who sees no seperateness between himself and all other forms of existense. They can see through the illusion of material form and transcend the desires most of us are driven by. This process takes a amalgamation of both nodes to activate the Kundalini Shakti to rise up to the higher chakras thereby activating the psychic centres of the pituitary and pineal glands. These are more esoterically referred to as the third eye and crown chakras. Gurudeva says the Kundalini it is a clear pure white light and the head is consumed by this light to the point you lose the sense of even having a head! I relate the third eye to Uranus and the crown chakra to Neptune. I think Pluto maybe indicates the raw power and transformative energy of the Kundalini as shown by Scorpio and the 8th house. The other side of the Sun is the ego and if you look at people who have a strong Sun not backed up by any moderating factors you usually have a egocentric, stubborn, self centred and unyielding personality on your hands. Take Hitler and Saddam Hussien, both have exalted Sun but both have a powerful Mars and Saturn as well. This creates this unyielding powerful character who will take the whole world to hell with him when he eventually falls. These people with this strongly malefic Sun will kill themselves rather than be seen as losers as their gigantic ego can never accept a loss or defeat. There sense of self become too inflated. Being brought up a Catholic I was indoctrinated with this concept of heaven and hell, light and darkness, God and Satan, angels and evil spirits etc. I now know that hell is actually the lower chakras representing ignorance, greed, selfishness, material and physical cravings. Heaven is the higher chakras representing kindness, wisdom, compassion, selflessness and benevolence. God is man at his best and Satan is man at his worst. The angels are the Devas and the evil spirits are the Asuras. In mans unenlightened state, good and evil cut through the heart of every person. Who is willing to kill off a piece of themselves? Guest guest
Hello Christian, >From a western perspective it is not so much your Nodes, but the planets that aspect them ~ as the transits are so closely taught by their natal placements. In midpoints you have MC/Rahu = Saturn and the 7th house Moon squaring MC. Further...you would be over fervent in associations and trying too hard. Women are spoilt creatures. You must never let them know you want them over much. Perhaps all cultures start with the Serpent. In the West the advisements of gem stones seem in disarray. I'm hoping our Indian faction can lend clarity to just what gem when.
