Hello rob/All,

This is very interesting, and I never thought of this

in the way that it was presented; Rob, my thanks for

the clarification. You said in your post that Rahu wil

obscure the effects of any planet with whih it

conjoins. In my chart, Saturn and Rahu conjoin in the

4th house, giving rise to Kapata Yoga; could you, or

anyone else, explain the potential effects for sucha

conbination as you have descirbed?

Thanks, data to follow.

You are welcome! Rahu in the 4th, particularly with Saturn, can set a

number of scenarios. The 4th may represent one's culture of birth, and

thus the accepted values or belief systems as part of that culture. Saturn

is a malefic lord for Sg. rising, and thus represents a feeling of being

judged or isolated from such cultural belief structures. Rahu gives the

feeling of being an outcaste, or someone who has difficulty finding

acceptance; this could have been exasperated by Saturn's judgement, or

mandate to live up to some kind of religious, political, or other societal

structures. Now, even in the age of civil rights and supposed equality of

the races, racism exists still in America, and I believe given that you are

a person of color in a (subtly, but noticeable) prejudicial society, you

would have thus felt alienated due to the pressures of such negative

vibrations.

Note that in your Navamsa chart, the Moon - which is the karaka for the 4th

house - is also with Rahu, and would thus suggest a need to heal internal

wounds, by reforming or seeking to transmute the twisted cultural attitudes

toward your race of people. You will do this by teaching both astrological

and spiritual principles, as well as the psychological ones.

Now, Saturn becomes powerful in your Navamsa chart , as ruler of and

occupant of the 9th house, where he gets the very favorable Argala from

Jupiter in Pisces in the 10th. So you take the bull by the horns, ignore

the rejection of the past due to birth in a racist society, and become

very effective in the matter of working for the mission of dharma, and

spreading truth and knowledge in the world. Thus, this work itself

enables you to transcend what exists evidently in the birth chart through a

combination of Saturn and Rahu.

Jupiter/Ketu/Mars are a great Raja-yoga in your chart for an astrologer,

with Jupiter ruling 1 and 4, Mars ruling 5, and all joining in the

10th. So go for it with full strength. If you see the Jupiter/Mars/Ketu

combination from the vantage point of Rahu, which is the dasha you are now

in (taking Rahu as the lagna for the duration of that dasa), then it still

remains a powerful dharma and Raja yoga, being lord of the 9th and 10th,

and placed in the 7th. So Rahu's dasa, apart from the restrictions of

Saturn, gain ground consistently in the teaching of, an practise of an

astrologer throughout its duration. What then to speak of the dashas of

Jupiter!

I hope that helps clarify -

With regards,

Robert
