Guest guest Posted January 4, 2001 Report Share Posted January 4, 2001 Dear Groups My site seems to be a bit hit and miss at the moment as it is a free server and you must put up with all their advertising. Why they need to advertise so extensively is confusing as it just puts people off visiting their sites. As a computer lamer I have no idea how to put together a site unless it is an easy program like the free one they offer at fortune city. Perhaps some of the more computer literate could give me some advice on setting up a page on my own server. Alternatively, I could find an 8 year old who could probably set one up in five minutes. I think if you get too many adds on some of the pages you go out and come back again and you get the page minus the adverts. Realistically I need to get a permanent page going. Geocities is not bad but more time consuming to set up a page. Australia is a bit of a Vedic astrology wasteland so finding anybody to take it seriously is difficult as the only astrology that gets any publicity is the western Sun sign nonsense you see in womans magazines or charlitans ripping people off on psychic phone lines etc. I just saw the news and a lady who was a famous restaurateur and a big fan of my restaurant was killed today in a car accident. Mars was in opposition to Moon, always a bad aspect for some poor soul. She always wrote very good reviews about my Restaurant in her books on cooking and also her restaurant guides.
