Guest guest
Dear Rhoda, I've been waiting so far for those folks experienced in vedic astro. to help you with your question. Unfortunately, I don't dare to tackle that serious issue, since I am a beginner in jyotish astrology.. I know that you didn't ask for that, but I am going to say just couple of words, from western astrology point of view, that I am experienced in. Poor fellow Aquarius has been under heavy "attack" for quite awhile. Saturn's transit, long lasting opposition Mars-Saturn, exhausted him quite a bit, for sure. Than Uranus tr. his Sun brought "electrical shocks"- I've seen many people loosing their fathers, in addition to being irritable, nervous, etc... But I find that tr. easier than the long-lasting tr. of Neptune over Sun, (or maybe I am just more comfortable with that energy, myself?), as your friend, already exhausted, is going through now: it can "bring" lack of energy, illnesses difficult to diagnose, lots of worries, lack of worldly interests, etc.. on the other hand, it can force a person to deal more with his soul, to be introspective (through some illness sometimes), and not rarely, in my experience, this tr. can bring some "transcendental" experiences, intuitive and clairvoyant faculties increased, "prophetic" dreams, etc... But, generally, it's not an easy transit at all, particularly when health is concerned- However, Pluto tr. will help him with recovery and Jupiter will soon be direct, trinning his Sun, and leaving it's uncomfortable proximity to Saturn...will come to "rescue" him, or give him a lucky break at least. I just wanted to say, while Neptun tr. is in force, it's hard to be precise, as it's foggy by nature- but faith helps, with Neptun transit in particular... I just felt compelled to write this- but vedic dasa he is currently in, and experienced vedic interpretation would certainly help more. Hoping that you'll get the response you asked for, I didn't want to go with progressions and solar ret.(as I normally would), but just to offer come encouragement and, hopefully, "invite" the response that you asked for... Astrology is a hobby for me, not a profession: I am a lay novice! I did discover a western sidereal technique 35 years ago, that found acclaim and is practised by western siderealists: I cast a chart for the moment the moon transits the natal sun each month ( 28 days or so!). It reveals the SUBJECTIVE assessment or feeling of the person. The birth of an unwanted child will be shown as "pain", the death of a tyrannical parent as "release"! If this chart is insipid and shows no connection with the natal chart, nothing of importance will occur during that 4 week period! If natal mars etc . appear on the angles, accidents, surgery are indicated. Venus, sun, moon often show romances. ....... I will not presume to comment on your chart interpretation at all! I have neither the knowledge nor the right to do so! If you need second opinions, appeal to the giants like Dasji! As a philosopher I am prepared for battle like Sankara, but as an astrologer, esp. as jyothishi, I bow my head before my younger chldren, whose knowledge and faculties surpass mine! A good father does not restrain, but encourages to greater deeds, recognizes the achievements of the children, thanks them for their discoveries! That is what i try to be; a good father. Not the Boring Patriarch! Not my opinion shall prevail, but the truth - as far as Maya Permits! God be with you Mani PS my computer is showing signs of collapsing. This may be my last mail for a period!

Mani, this seems as misunderstanding: Please do not make a guru out of me! Astrology is a hobby for me, not a profession: I have never felt any need for guru- when I pray, I pray to God, "the way I conceive Him to be"/ Sideratha/. I don't find anything wrong with those who feel the opposite, or think/and/or found the right one- there is enough room for all of us under the sky - but I am aware of the facts that, as G. Das wrote in his inspiring post , and I feel that to be true, not only with issues related to gurus, but also with many helping "professions", religion included, - there are lots of politics, as he said, in that- lots of those who feed their egos by having power over people- not only gurus, but psychologist, psychiatrist, priests.. quite often..among others, I guess, who are genuinely concerned for those they are helping. I am not from that story. I was just referring to name-numerology issue that you mentioned once, and didn't want to bother the list, assuming (oh, lots of misunderstanding is born out of that, I know)- that you would understand. I didn't ask you for your "expert's opinion" on what I wrote based on my knowledge of western astrology- I would ask, for one re jyotish, maybe, because that's what I want to know, and hope to learn by being on the list. Sleep well, my friend, as far as I am concerned, I need more friends and knowledge, and other things not a guru. Regards, Ana
