Dear Das,

We diverge significantly in our respective world views.

I do not mean to incite or challenge you, but share my experiences as you

do yours.

My sister gave me a copy of the Bhagavad Gita for Christmas. For the

first time in our short association I felt I was close to realising where

you are coming from...I am sure you will forgive/correct any outright

persumptions...

I am highly Venusian. Venus is AtmaKaraka and exalted in 5th house

Navamsa, so I can easily be dismissed as lustful. Sure I am, but there is

much, much more to Venusian energy than the lowest common denominator to

which it has largely been assigned and interpreted.

'No man is an island complete within himself...'a truth I am well aware

of. We see-saw between giving and being needed. It has been my experience to

be there as help and support when needed by others. They come weakened or

troubled and hopefully leave in a state of health that I define as returning

to their own power. Here I go again, back to Power differentials...I would

not care to be perpetually 'needed' in a spousal relationship. I would hope

my spouse would 'want' me as an equal.('want' in this context is not to be

equated with 'desire'). Ideally, the sharing of power must compliment the

'other' and fascilitate merging.

You once remarked to me that I would not understand the humility and

reverence given to husbands by devotees.( As I was 'playfully' teasing you

and you took the bait, I left it.)... I do understand, humility is not alien

to me...

With Venus Nakshatra rising in Leo Lagna, I have a dignified carriage.

Not conceited or pride ridden, but aristocratic. Do you understand that the

greatest respect I can show a man is to allow him to walk beside me?, least

he be mistaken for a 'servant' or bodyguard?.

Jupiter is portrayed as so wise as to reject or dismiss the counsel of Venus.

'Tis a pity!

Ann.
