Guest guest
Om Amrtesvaryai Namah! Namaste dear brother Raghu! thank you once again for your loving and enlightening comments!! i do know what you mean about, if you are open about your love for, and affiliation with a Guru, (doesn't really matter Who), that people will automatically start to look at you with horror and pity in their eyes, not to mention that "i've got to get outta here" desperate look...and "Cult! Cult! Cult!" will cross their minds.... In fact as Sivaya Subramuniyaswami has said, it is not so much that YOU renounce the world, as that the world renounces YOU as you become more and more drawn into the Divine Love.... However, Amma does tell us to fearlessly proclaim Her message, by our own loving words, and mainly, our own loving actions....and She is such a strong influence in my life, that i feel She IS my life in a real sense...so you will naturally see me bubbling over with enthusiasm for Her, and Her Love, and Her mission.... i realize that this puts some people REALLY off, but i'm not talking to them....Amma says if a thousand people turn away from us in our Love for Her, and even one turns toward Her thru our fearless example of Her Love, then we are successful...we are not talking to either the converted or the non-convertible...we (you and i and other devotees) are sharing our Love for the Divine in a real way such that anyone who is open to that, and whose heart is aching for the Divine touch WILL be touched by our devotion to the Divine... Just as i have, many times, been touched by your devotion to the Divine in the form of Krsna and Visnu, (and your Gurus) so have i noticed, that quite a few people have come to know of and be more interested in Amma thru my own rantings of Love...i don't ask anyone to profess artificial devotion to someone that they feel nothing for...but when you have met a real Guru, you can feel something from the other ones, which you may not have noticed before...that connection with the Divine, which you can just feel in their presence, or thru their words, or pictures.... For example i didn't have to meet Swami Prabhupada or Paramahansa Yoganandaji, to get that feeling from them...it vibrates thru their works, and pictures....that Divine Love seems to transform one. So i am not sure just what you meant by not having to "fake" devotion to anyone...who was asking you to? why should one ask you to extend "artificial devotional statements"....i'm sorry if my Love for Amma and enthusiasm for Her has put you into a protective stance...you don't need to defend yourself from anything....i did ask some provocative questions of you, but that doesn't mean i expect you to do anything in particular...just to look, yourself, objectively, at the possible relationships i had pointed out thru the charts..... it is true that devotion to the Guru is private, but sharing the Divine Love for God and Guru, is perfectly ok, as far as i am concerned...i don't care Who the Guru is, i love those devotional stories...i really don't mean so much to monopolise it all with Amma, as to stimulate some discussion re the kinds of relationships that people may have Jyotish wise with the Guru....even they need not say a word, but only take a look, if they're interested. it's just that She's the example (along with myself) which i am using, as i know those two best.... of course one wouldn't expect everyone to share one's own sentiments of devotion and love....but since we are made of Love itself, we do respond positively to that kind of influence....for example, i love your stories of devotion, and the Vaishnava way of seeing things....i don't have to BE a Vaishanava to love Your Devotion, and to feel warmed by it's glow....i don't expect you or anyone else to become a Sakta just because that's my leaning...as has so often been said by the wise: "The Truth is One and the Paths to It Many!" One intends merely to share some Bhakti, and Jyotish together,as they do go well together....come one! come all!...all the Lovers of Love and all the Lovers of Light!!.... Again, dear brother Raghu, my most humble apologies if i had accidentally stepped on your "toes" with my ravings...i do appreciate your wonderful discussion of Amma's chart...it is very revealing to see your view, and it confirms in so many ways what i know of Her already, from Her life, and from my experiences of being in Her Presence... Thank you for sharing that. In Her Divine Love and In Her Service, i humbly salute You, dear brother Raghu!! as ever your own self, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!
