Guest guest
Om Amrtesvaryai Namah! Namaste brother Raghu!! As one of the children of the Holy Mother, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, i am very happy to see an interest taken in Her Holiness' chart... As i have said earlier, it IS an extremely rewarding study, especially for Her Devotees, (and those who might just wonder if they too, might "come along"....) as in addition to studying Amma's chart, they can compare their charts with Hers.(Thanks Mani for that idea...i had not seriously considered to do this (somehow thinking it might be "uncool")...but upon your suggestion did)...and it's simply amazing what you learn about your self .... one may discover (in some ways at least)... how one is "related" to the Holy Mother... one can see it almost "literally" (at least in the way i see things)...being a sakta, and Her devotee, and child, i see all the universe as a "body" of the Divine Mother, Adi Para Sakti and the Grahas too, are like Her incarnations, some of them "male" and others "female"...thus one can see Venus as the Divine Mother Maha Laksmi, for example...and Sani as the Devi Maha Kali Ma....Guru in this way might be seen as Mother Maha Saraswati... although Sri Ganesaji would still be an equal choice, as He is Mother's first "born" Son, set to guard her door way while She took a bath....but that's another story. thus in comparing one's chart with that of the Holy Mother one may see surprising connections...i am not trying to "convert" anyone to the Holy Mother, (but i do admit i am extremely enthusiastic about HER....hopefully i'm putting anyone off to sleep...or annoying anyone...) She, Herself, would support and bless all spiritual paths followed sincerely with Bhakti, Jnana, and Compassionate Service...Seva---Amma says if you love Christ then meditate on Him,if you love Krsna then meditate on Him, sing His beloved Names like the Gopis did, and if you love Amma, then you can meditate on Her Form....Whichever is your Beloved Deity, is Who is recommended as the object of meditation...Amma goes further to say (for the value of tears) that five minutes of crying to the Divine sincerely, with all the longing of an innocent little child for its Mother.....is equal to an hour's meditation.....Crying to the Divine in any Form you Love the Most, seems to be the key here.... as you already know, i'm one of Amma's children...and when i see things or connections that appear interesting, i might mention them...it's only my own viewpoint, and just like Mani i do not wish to offend anyone who may be less enthused with this study...or with Amma..... i do, however, cordially invite interested people to check out Amma's American Web page at: www.ammachi.org or Her India Address at www.amritapuri.org i don't mean to be advertising, but rather providing more information, for the Jyotishis to go and look at Her and Her activities, and so on, and add this information into their readings of the chart you have so kindly given....for which thank you very much... returning to the issue of chart correspondences between Amma and a devotee (or interested party!?): ...Ketu and Rahu often show up...Sani and Shukra too...of course Guru is obvious.... it is amazing how some devotees' Grahas seem to correspond almost literally...for example one can often take the placement of Guru or Sani or Venus and looking in a person's chart one will see that it will be somewhere on one of Amma's four Cornerstones....and one's Sun, Moon and lagna will all appear to have some beautiful "Cosmic" relationship... as the Holy Mother is thought by many of Her "Children", to be an incarnation of the Divine Mother, Maha Kali, Sani is frequently found to be an important planet of relationship with Her...(it sits in Mother's Lagna Bhava.) in my own case, i discovered, as i said, that Venus is the Ishta Devata, by looking for the Atmakaraka in the Navamsha and taking the 12th to that as the house of the Ishtadevata....Sani being the Atmakaraka in Gemini Navamsha, Shukra became IshtaDevata...to me that is another face of my Divine Mother, Sri Lalitambike, Sri Maha Laksmi, Sri Mata Kamalatmika...Amma. Adi ParaSakti is all these Devis in truth....as there is only One Divine Mother with many faces, the one who comes to you, depends upon which One you love...Whoever is One's IshtaDevata is the one to call...As Amma says, tho' it is the Sakti Who is responsible for all this mess, and Siva only gave permission for the creation after some strict admonitions as to it's inadvisability...Amma says after the creation, Siva Mahadeva withdrew....the absolute...without attributes, versus the conditional worlds we live in which are "energy-powered", and thus "sakti" or Sakta worlds....the theory being that the creative urge is from the Sakti and She is the energy of the creation, as well as the "Mother MahaMaya" the Great Delusion...thus we approach Her as Her little children, wanting nothing but Her Love.....She can't refuse Her little ones... in my chart Venus lies in Libra, a new born infant at only 58 minutes. However that same Bhava is occupied by Amma's Lagna and Sani....so one could almost literally read it: IshtaDevata=Venus=Amma=Sani=Mother Kali too, having Sani and Mangal in Virgo in the 9th corresponding with Amma's Sun and Mercury..gives rise to the thought: my Sani=Amma's Sun=again Mother Kali...i have seen this kind of correspondance quite commonly between Amma and her devotees,at least the ones i know who have given my their data. i too, have noticed, like Mani and you, how people seem to be "related" when we study charts together...so i thought to apply this to my Beloved SatGuruji Ammachi.....such a study is not for ego inflating, although it is nice to see relationship seeming to be "written in the stars" .... However when reading the Holy Mother's chart, one will quickly see signs of Who SHE "really Is"(as far as we may understand!), She has not hesitated to leave signs there for the Jyotishis that they may learn more about themselves and Her....As you can easily see Sani is extremely strong in Amma's chart, exalted in Libra, strongly aspecting the Lagna...making Sasa Yoga...leading the Kali Ma devotees in the crowd seeing clear links...to the Mother Kali, as Sani is often seen to be Siva Mahadeva or Mother Kali (Sakta version)...forgive my Sakta leanings if any one is offended by them...and any errors... The town name i was given for the Holy Mother's birth was, as i had written to you earlier, KAYANKULAM, and it is in your own GJ atlas...the resulting lat and long, are different from the ones you give as for Amritapuri. When i put Amritapuri into your Atlas it was not found...too recent a town name i suppose... on the other hand, i was given this information from the San Ramon Ashram in the US....i have copied and pasted below some of the comments which Dayalu, himself a Jyotishi at the San Ramon Ashram, had to say about Amma's chart...interestingly he gives the same lagna as you do, 23 deg 18 min Libra, but he gives the town as Kayankulam, which when plugged into your GJ program that comes with "Beneath a Vedic Sky" results in latitude 9N11 and longitude 76E30, and a slightly different resulting Lagna: 23deg 20 Visakha in Libra.....as compared to Dayalu's (and yours!!) 23deg 18min Visakha...this of course will make a slight difference in the dashas, or rather the finer tuned shorter antardashas... interesting as when i plug in the data given by the San Ramon Jyotishi i don't get the same Lagna degree that he himself gave, nor the same latitude longitude coordinates that you gave...so what gives? Here's Dayalu's comments (in part): Amma is a Libra ascendant 23 degrees 18. She was born Sept. 27th 1953 at 9:09 A.M. Kayankulam, India. She's getting more popular now during Jupiter Venus and in 2006 when She goes into Saturn Saturn she'll problaby be World famous. When Saturn was debilitated transiting Her 7th between 18-28 degrees very difficult time based on the systems approach and with Saturn now in her 8th transiting the Moon very difficult for Her close disciples also here in San Ramon ashram. In Amma, Dayalu ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ thus you have it...hope it's been of interest...it definitely interests me! When i compare devotee charts with Amma's it's awesome sometimes, to see the beautiful, loving dance of the Grahas...between Amma's chart and the devotee's...it would be a great sadhana to undertake such a study.... humbly, In the Divine Mother's Love, and in Her Service i salute You!! dear Raghu, Making Koti Koti Pranams bowing again and again, taking the sacred Dust from Your Blue Lotus Feet, O Beloved child of The Lord! O eloquent Singer of Sweet Praises for Your Beloved: Krsna Vasudeva! the All-Attractive.... as ever Your Own Self visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namaha!!!
