Namaste! that was such a beautiful exposition of just what Amma Herself is teaching Her beloved children, dear Mani. i for one, welcome it as a breath of sandalwood incensed air, full of the Divine Mystery, and the Beauty of the Mother's Cosmic Artistry. Thank you so much for your scientific incisive intellect...which too, has brought you to the Divine, just as Ganesaji had asked you....a truly inspiring story and totally relevant to Jyotish... As Jyotish expands into the future, and across national boundaries to become again the universal science it once was, it will absorb all sorts of new ideas, and concepts, and will digest them according to how valuable they are to the Sadhana of Jyotish, and then keeping the truly valuable, discard the rest, just as Ammachi suggests. To hang on to ancient scriptures, literally, word for word, is, as Mani suggests, actually a form of ignorance, in my own view...we have lost so much of them. When there are today living exponents of the Sanatan Dharma, to whom we may approach with loving humility, Who are Themselves the message of those scriptures..we have no real excuse for literal minded fundamentalism any more...Fundamentalism of all kinds, is what has caused all the religious troubles through out history....So in my view perhaps if the books don't fit that living message, then the books may need to be edited a little.... Just my humble opinions in support of Mani's very well reasoned and Bhakti-filled view....it resonates entirely with my own feelings here. thankyou In Amma's Divine Love and in Her Holy Service i am Thine Own Self visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!!!
