2000, a hard year?

Hello everyone,

Was 2000 a hard year? Y2K started it out with a scare, I know that for

sure. That was quickly relieved- nothing much happened.

But I had a terrible year personally. It's getting better now for me though.

I don't have alot of close friends, but the few I have all had hard

years. I've heard from others that their friends had hard years. One of

the recurring themes apparently is breakups and divorces in spousal

relationships.

Has this been other's experience?

I find the presidential election very interesting- usually the nation is

more clear, but this is really something- a tie. Interesting too because

Jupiter kindof represents the Republicans and Saturn the democrats,

kindof. And they're together and retro as you know.

I personally am happy to know that the direct comes in late Jan (soon in

other words), and that Jupiter will gradually get away on it's own after

this long conjunction.

------------

It's all conincidence

---------------------

I don't have alot of close friends here in Eugene as I said, but I do

know a few couples, families, etc., just a few.

One of my friends has the same lagna and moon as myself, and runs the

same dasha, so we always have the same dashas, and transits basically.

Our charts are otherwise similar too.

Her son has the same chart as my son in many respects. Though this woman

is 10 years older than I, and our sons are about 7 years apart in age.

This womans husband has the same Moon as Bernadette.

My daughter, my oldest child, has the same Ascendent and Sun as

Bernadettes ex husband's oldest child, also a daughter.

Bernadettes little daughter, has the same chart as my ex wife, just

rotated by one angle. So apparently I was meant to be around Libra Moon,

Saturn in Capricorn, whether I like it or not.

The other day, Ken Keseys daughter visited me and I looked at her chart.

She has the same chart in most respects as my son, like Scorpio rising,

Venus and Mercury in the 5th, Mars in the 6th.

A friend of mine in LA has the same Lagna and 1st lord as Bernadette,

and his girlfriend was born so close in time to me, and has the same

lagna, that we have basically the same chart.

My daughter, who is like me in many ways, has a boyfriend, who has a

chart similar to Bernadettes in some key placements.

Does anyone else find that all the key people in their lives share

things? I can't believe how many Aries, Taurus, Aquarius and Libra

Moons there are around me. It's sortof the norm in my life. The patterns

of either Aries, Sag, Libra or Taurus rising is also the norm. Most of

the key people in my life have Saturn in an angle. My closest male

friends tend to have it in the seventh, as did my first wife. My son,

the first, Bernadette, the 10th, my daughter, it's exalted in the 11th,

Bernadettes daughter, in the 4th in Cap, and so on it goes...

So, the transits end up making more sense, as when they are in a certain

place, everybody I know is affected similarly.

Jyotish takes all the mystery out of life!

And I'm left with nothing but understanding and awareness of Divine

Plan.

Oh darn.

Dear Raghu,

I am definitely affected by the transit(s), Saturn being a friend of taurus,

Jupiter more an enemy. But I think that in transits the natural qualities

dominate. It has been a period of hard work at times, occasional success, much

hope but generally frustration, lack of stamina and motivation. And much

loneliness, actual more than emozional. But it has also been a period of mental

activity, introspection and understanding. This was not my best year, but by far

not the worst!

Yes, many I know are going through this. But I see that Taurus lagna is less

afflicted than the others. Gemini too, to some extent. Myself and my 3 children

are all Taurus! Both my daughters, who had had rather undesirable - not

criminals, but not kosher either - have both found wonderful boys, cultured,

loving, highly intelligent and artistic AND spiritually well up! My ex-wife,

after 15 years of bitter enmity and 3 of neutrality has become friendly! My

son, the autist, has taken a big step towards normality.

So I think this dance of the giants at the border Aries/taurus means a shake up

for the better.

Although people were unsure, no one thought it would be a tie - except perhaps

me. In private mail I repeatedly asked what would happen if a tie occurred. This

unfortunate situation for the US at least confirms that my intuition and weird

western sidereal methods are VALID! I just could not see either candidate

gloating over his success, far more worry and uncertainty during these days,

with law being involved. Unfortunately Pluto gets involved with Gore ....

scandal ... assassination attempt ....?

Boy! Am I waiting for that 2$/25 January! In April I´ll (you´ll) get a kick

from saturn crossing Asc/ Sun-Mercury, but I think it will be to kick us into

the right path!!!

> ------------

>

> It's all conincidence

> ---------------------

It is Co-Incidence. This cotact phenomenon - planets or angles conjunct or

opposite in mutual charts of two or more people - is one of my "discoveries",

but also mentioned in the old texts in a roundabout way. The closer the person -

not just as relative, but emotionally - or the greater the impact, even if in

hard enmity or only once in a moment of transformation, the greater the number

of such contacts. You and I have such contacts. Although we have never met,

although we had "harsh" exchange of words, you are playing a big role in my

life, I am getting friends thru the gjlist.

You know that I am not a professional astrologer. But people do come for

consultation. Sometimes I do take money, if the work is tedious, or if the

person directly offers a "donation". Anyway, if the chart of the person SHOWS

NO CONNECTION TO MINE, I tell the person to check the TOB. At least one angle

cusp must coincide with a planet or angle in mine! Since it is usually Mom´s

assumed TOB, the check usually proves my point! If no check is possible, I shit

the most suitable angle to make a contact. The readings I have given on this

basis were found to be good.

All the people with whom we interact - not the casual contact of "meeting" a

salesman and buying something at a store! - belong to a group of "actor souls",

a "theatre group". They all pre-determine their mutual functions on earth before

being born. The planets furnish the time-table for their births and the contact

points - if we carefully study them and understand - show us what the connection

is, how to evaluate it and how to react!

Incidentally, Your sun, my AC, are in Krittika, near the star Alcyone. I find

this position (area) tenanted in many cases, ALL characterized by "universal

LOVE"! It is the 7th cusp for Sri Sai Baba, Ammachi´s moon is there! Only 2

examples, but there are many. You once called me "father-heart" ..... Thanks.

As to the violent prophecies which did not happen last year, .... this year has

been very bad and is not at an end! And this year is the true end of the

millennium, not 1999.

May God protect us!

Hello Das and Mani,

About 8 years ago, I went through Ashtam Shani, which was a very bad time for

me, as there were many other indications reinforcing the problem areas. This

lasted for about 5 years. The year 2000, therefore has been extremely good for

me. I have recently moved to a new house, and there is not much tension anywhere

in my life.

Best wishes,

You bet Das,it was/is a very hard year. I have found more than 10

people I know to be having a tough time. By and Large, I have found

my friends losing interest and drive in their work, being more or

less depressed, etc. Some of them are facing problems with family

involving health and other matters.

I wonder if this has anything to do with the Saturn/Jupiter "Dance"

in Taurus. I guess the retrograde motion is creating the "havoc" in

people's lives.

Here are the things about me. (Born on September 7, 1962, 18:11HRS

IST (6:11PM) in Poona (18deg 34min North, 73deg 58min East).)

1. I have no drive to do anything new in my work since March 2000. I

am a Computer Network Engineer, and I have had no interest in

learning new technology. This is very much required, if I have to

stay competitive. I love resting like a couch potato, but whenever I

do that, I end up worrying. Sense of insecurity is high. I was NEVER

NEVER like this before.

2. I got a promotion, but I am not happy. I feel my staff does not

respect me. At the same time, I do not feel like leading the group.

The qualtity of work has gone down too.

3. Health is not at my best. A panic attack that started on December

15, 1997, has transformed into general anxiety. I fear, I will go

insane someday. I was just in a state of general worry and stress

until October 6, 2000. On this day, I was in a meeting when I was

overcome with an intense thought of going insane. I was stressed out-

it had been a long 15 hour day for me. Since then I have not been

able to get over it. There are days, I obsess over it. I am overcome

with extreme fear.

4. MY immediate family is OK. I have a good wife and two good

children. One was born in July 2000. However, My Brother and

Sisters, all older to me are a source of discomfort to me. They live

nearby, but we have stopped calling or visiting each other, except

for the formal Thanksgiving Get togethers, etc. The situation has

been aggravated because My mother is to come to the USA and live with

us. This is a great responsibility-financially and otherwise. My

mother is not the exact bundle of good health. Although my brother

and sister here have provided lip service, they want me to sign the

legal documents, which I am gladly doing. But they do not really want

to do anything with my mother. That is the impression I get from them.

Nobody talks about this in the family, while me and my wife stress

about it.

5. I have turned to religion to get some relief, but I feel even the

gods are not happy with me. I don't know why. An old copy of my

horoscope says appease Saturn, which I have tried. Things only seem

to have gotten worse.

I don't kow when all of this will end. I have posted small questions

now and then on the GJlist and other groups, but no one seems to say

why I have these problems in 2000. I never had them before!! I have

aquarius lagna, and debilitated moon in scorpio. So the

Saturn/Jupiter retrograde motion in the fourth house must be

affecting my weak natal moon (although it is waxing and strong in

shadbala).

Dear Sir,

you are currently running SUn/Saturn whihc are in 6/8 positions. WHen Sun

and Saturn are in adverse positions there mutual dasas are quite difficult

as they are an inimical father sun duo. ALso a malefic in a dusthana with a

node is a trying time, so expect to find more happiness and meaning in life

when you enter Sun/MErcury next March.

ALl the best,

Ernst Wilhelm

Hello:

I took a look at your chart and understand the problems you are facing. I

have to confess I'm not sure why your problems began in 1997 -- Sun dasha

started Apr 1997 but the Sun has no obvious afflictions. However, there

were a number of stressful transits to the Sun, lagnesh Saturn and lagna

itself at the time of your panic attack in Dec 97. As I'm not one for

remedial measures generally, I won't suggest to undertake them (although

the Sun would seem to be a reasonable focus of any obeisances). As I am

also someone who has to struggle with more than his fair share of anxiety

most of time, I would strongly recommend exercise in any form. Exhaust

yourself on a daily basis. It works wonders to temporarily deflate the

worry. Also I have recently started taking the herbal supplement kava

kava, which is recommended for anxiety. Apparently, it has similar effects

of valium without the addictive side effects. It doesn't always work but

it seemed like a good idea to try it. Perhaps you should, too. Don't

expect any quick miracles though, it may take a couple of weeks to kick in.

I think your current predicament is likely to continue for a little while

longer until Jan 2001 when Sun-Sat changes to Sun-Merc. 2000 was tough for

you because Saturn is afflicted in your chart owing to its close

conjunction with Ketu. Mercury will be better, although it too is afflicted

by Mars. I would think, however, that this affliction will be less

disturbing. It may supercharge your nervous system somewhat, so it may be

all the more important to find outlets for the Martian electircity that

will be flowing through your Mercury wires. Treat exercise like the

medicine it is.

When Moon dasha starts in 2003, things will improve more substantially.

Don't worry too much about the debilitation -- it's only one factor. The

Moon is otherwise unafflicted and is with Jupiter in navamsha.

with warm regards,

Christopher

Your chart is quite strong, with four planets in the rasi in their own signs.

I agree with appeasing Saturn, though, as it is in your 12th house and

currently is transiting aspecting your ascendant and Moon. I am sure it is

the influence that is so difficult now, as it produces feelings of loneliness

and is detrimentally effecting your health. You are also in a Sun/Saturn

period, so you are getting Saturn there as well.

Now, how to appease Saturn? Do not wear a Saturn stone. What you can do are

Saturn chants, rituals, fasting on Saturdays and other ways to appease Saturn

without making him stronger in his grip on you. Know also that this

influence is strengthening your spiritual quest.

If you wish to wear a gem, diamond for Venus looks to be your best choice.

Your Venus is in Libra in the 9th house. It is extremely positive and a good

way to boost your current difficulties.

Hello,

There are many indications of problems in December 1997. I have but very little

time at hand, so will try to outline some of the important elements. Hopefully,

this will help in understanding the time frame. As mentioned by Christopher,

there were many planets transiting Capricorn in December. Saturn was transiting

Pisces and aspecting the 8th lord Mercury, placed in own, Moolatrikons and

Exalted sign. But please remember, Mercury may be good because of being in

exalted and Moolatrikona sign etc; it is still in the 8th house, where it gives

restlessness of mind. Mercury is further aspected by Mars (8th house from Natal

Moon). In Navamsa, Mercury moves to Gemini from Virgo. Virgo is occupied by Mars

in Natal Rasi. Then Mars is placed in Pisces via Navamsa, where Saturn is

transiting.

Mars aspects Mercury, Saturn and Ketu. Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Ketu are all

transiting through Capricorn at this time. Mars moved into Capricorn on December

11th, 1997. Saturn and Ketu are in the 12th house from Natal Ascendant. Moon and

Sun are almost 90 degrees apart, so almost 93 degrees apsrt. This square aspec

of Sun and Moon is the main problem area. The transiting Sun was going over the

Moon (6th Lord) in Scorpio, around that time. You have transiting Jupiter

aspecting the Natal Sun (7th Lord) and Mercury (8th Lord) from Capricorn.

Scorpio is occupied by Rahu via Navamsa. Moon and Mercury bot signify Mind, but

in somewhat different level. Moon signifies the emotional, etc.

The Dasha Bhukti from end of August to end of February is Sun - Moon. Hopefully

this explains the event of panis attack.

I have not had the time to look into it further for year 2000 as yet, but I will

advise that be very careful to wear any gemstone unless indepth analysis is done

to analyze the various aspects of Mars etc.

Best wishes,

Dale

Hello,

Further to my explaination, to have tremendous mental strain and lack of

harmony, the involvement of Rahu, Mars or the constellation of the same, along

with the square aspect of Moon and Sun is necessary. Natal Moon is in Jayeshtha,

a constalation of Mercury. Saturn and Ketu are in the constellation of Shravana

of Moon, in Capricorn. Rahu occupies Scorpio in Navamsa. Natal Mars is in Gemini

in constellation Ardra of Rahu. Ascendant and Jupiter are in the constellation

Satabisha of Rahu.

In the small window of about four days started around December 11th, 97. Rahu

was transiting over natal Sun in Leo at exact degree of Sun. Sun was transiting

over Moon in Scorpio exactly the same degree of natal Moon's placement (23.59

degrees).

The dasha of Sun and Moon also indicative of the tremendous mental strain and

lack of harmony in the few days, therefore, could have very easily contributed

to the panic attack. It was around December 11th, when transiting Sun formed an

exact conjunction with natal Moon, and transiting Rahu formed the exact

conjunction with natal Sun.

Best wishes,

Dale
