Guest guest
Namaste Gareth and Mani, et al, I shall point you in the direction I have pursued, but, if this discussion heats up, I will gladly bail out. It is not my place to convince you; merely to plant the seed for further inquiry. You may benefit from a grounding in the following seminal references... 1) Barbara.G.Walker, The Woman's Encyclopedia of Myths and Secrets (HarperCollins 1983) 2) Merlin Stone, Ancient Mirrors of Womanhood:A treasury of Goddess and heroine lore from around the world (Beacon Press 1979,1990) 3) Anything written by Sir John Marshall, head of the excavation team in the 1920s (and I may warn you, he was prolific in his publications!) 4) Anything with the heading Indus Valley; either on the net or in libraries.(I read voraciously, and have not kept notes, sites references etc) 5) Information on the 'Bogmen'( Two bodies of sacrifical males found in Scotland ) 6) Anything you can get your hands on that might just provide a clue!. Use your power of rational thinking. (There will be time for intuition after you have collected a bevy of facts.) Was there in fact an Empire? eg, look carefully at the grain storage building at Mohenjaro; it is Huge. Bearing in mind, this was a Port, there would be no need for a facility of that size if it did not serve an equally huge tonnage. Ask yourself Questions and Meditate on the Questions of others. ie K.T.Shubhakaran asks in his book 'Nakshatra' chapter 22, pg 285 on Sa'd-Adh-Dhabih(felicity of the sacrificer) "Which Nakshatra was added later or which Nakshatra was already dropped even before dropping Abhijit"?. The sacrifice took place on the 3rd day before new moon to accomodate the belief of death, renewal and rebirth...a theme that was later incorporated by the sacrifical Jesus. It makes sense to 'drop' a point of energy heretofore used for murder to erase the practice. Suspend disbelief and your usual comfortable preconceptions. Although, admittedly, I have given myself licence to 'assume' on a variety of points,eg the presence of 7 female images did fit nicely with the myth that 'great beings' or the Creator, existed through and beyond the plieades constellation. Do not discount the tiniest clue. Cedar, as used in aromatherapy, treats lung congestion and clears the airways.Cedar plantations existed in the area and this timber was found to line graves in some instances. The Scottish bogmen were killed by a blow to the back of the head, possibly with a club, around the region of the pineal gland. It could be 'assumed' that the spirit was set free to 'create' from this point. So prana/life force/air/mercury can be explored in this context. Enjoy the Journey! Ann.
