Sluggish thyroid hormone production results in confusion, memory loss, lethargy---and most telling, increased sensitivity to temperature (thyroid regulates metabolism and low-thyroid hormone lets a person feel cold when it is not cold out or inside). Hope this helps. I too have hypothyroid condition. Hair began falling out, pain in knees, difficult to walk up stairs---happened to me until the doctor's diagnosis (he took several blood samples) and hormone prescription gave me back my mind again, as well as my strength. In my case this restoration to health took over a year from diagnosis until ability to resume occupation. In the past year I have found Ginkgo herb to be a most wonderful herb that allows me to have a clearer thinking pattern any morning it is taken. Please ask lady to have her TSH (Thyroid-stimulating-hormone that the pituitary sends out in excess whenever thyroid id not functioning adequately) tested by a lab, which uses a vial of blood to make the test, and her dioctor will let her know if indeed, Saturn has slowed her Venus!
