Namaste to Mani and all the other list members! i have a couple more questions for those who are in the know (another kindergarten question in other words). 1. i am wondering just what the influence of Rahu and Ketu are when considering compatibility vs. combatibility....i have heard some interesting information from Prasannan Herke, who is a Jyotishi travelling with Amma in reference to one particular case at least...myself and a friend, who kept (and still can) seeming to trigger one another into resentment and anger... This lady has Ketu at 3 degrees 14 minutes/ Chitra in Libra in the 11th, in Her rashi chart and also Ketu in Navamsha Libra in the seventh. i on the other hand have Venus at 0 degrees 58 minutes/ Chitra in Libra in the 10th in my rashi chart and in the navamsha both jupiter and venus were cavorting about in Libra, which is now the 6th...When Prasannan saw the Venus-Ketu connection, he pointed it out quite clearly and he said that he would not ordinarily ever recommend that these two people should pursue a relationship...and that it appeared to him that in previous life we had been related, but that my friend had all the power,(as i recall he suggested that my friend may have been something like my Granny or so) and i (probly) resented it .....and any current appearances of "power-tripping"...a kind of carry through between lives....and thus i understood that we still have some karmic debts to work through...only it is SO difficult to hang out with her very much at all...and when i did a comparison myself of the 4 cornerstones, i immediately could see the problems (at least now): m's Lagna is 2/12 to v's Lagna...secret enemies m's Moon is 8/6 to v's Moon...active enemies 3 out of 4 not good m's Sun is 9/5 to vi's Sun...active friends m's Venus is 8/6 to v's venus...active enemies then we get the wider correspondences.... m's Lagna 2/12 to v's Moon m's Lagna 12/2 to v'a Sun m's Lagna 11/3 to v's Venus 5 out of 6 not good m's Moon 6/8 to v's Sun m's Moon 6/8 to v's Venus m's Sun 8/6 to v's Venus and when you go from the other side (v's) to see if they are mutual you get v's Lagna 6/8 to m's Moon--mutually negative v's Lagna 3/11 to m's Sun v's Lagna 3/11 to m's Venus --mutually weakly positive v's Moon 3/1ll to m's Sun v's Moon 3/11 to m's Venus 5 out of six weakly good. v's sun 5/9 with m's Venus as we can see, there are far more challenging combinations than friendly ones...and even the friendly ones are weaker, as i understand it...When examining the Navamshas for the same purpose, one finds even more challenging combinations and fewer friendly ones... so it is easy to see why this relationship with my friend has the constant undertone of conflict, and power issues (even if only "perceived" as power issues)...and thus i could understand that our very energy fields might just clash a little bit, like two strings on a violin playing slightly out of tune... However the Rahu Ketu influence has me very interested...and to pursue that one further, whereas m's Ketu in Libra in both Rashi and Navamsha is conjunct my Venus in rashi Libra and Jupiter and Venus in the Navamsha Libra.....Also, my Navamsha Rahu/Ketu axis goes thru Capricorn and Cancer, with Rahu in Capricorn and Ketu in Cancer...As for my friend her Navamsha Sun and Venus sit in Capricorn. In the rashi chart, m's Sani is conjunct with my Ketu in Magha in Leo in my eighth and her 9th. So as i understand it, Rahu and Ketu can not only indicate sudden changes fortunate or not (Mostly not), and ketu indicates a force towards Moksha as i understand...also things from the past...but does any one see what prasannan did in this comparison? and does Sani play a role in this little melodrama???, eg her Sani in my 8th Leo with my Ketu???? i could easily spring for the idea of being "related" some how in the past, but the other stuff i didn't quite get...at least how he got there from the charts...or do you need to see the entire charts to see this as it is such a holistic thing...or what? the other question has to do with groupings of four or more planets in a single bhava....several of my friends have come to me with such arrangements and i am a little confused as to how one might combine the influences of all these grahas in the one bhava...especially when the Sun and Sani are involved..... examples: 1. One friend has a chart in which the 4th Bhava, Pisces, is occupied by 4 Grahas: Sun at 23deg 2 min in Revati (ruled by Mercury) Venus at 20 deg 18 min in Revati Mars at 18 deg 40 min Revati Mercury at 15 deg 42 min Uttara bhadrapada. 2. another has a similar lineup in her Fourth Bhava but in her case it goes like this Moon 1 deg 33 min Purvabhadrapada in Pisces in the 5th //// Mercury 27 deg 37 min Purvabhadrapada in Aquarius Sun 20 deg 13 min Purv. in Aquarius Sani 14 deg 57 min Satabisha in Aquarius Venus 10deg 26 min Satabisha in Aquarius Several of these planets are combust due to being so close to the Sun.....but just how will that affect their influence on the person's life? Also is it not so, that when there are so many planets in one Bhava that it constitutes almost a Lagna, due to the importance of that Bhava in the native's life? Of course in these two cases, there would already be a Sun Lagna anyways, but i am wondering anyways, especially if if were a combination not including either Lagna Sun or Moon.... is this a correct way of understanding?...and how would you decide who is the most powerful influence on the bhava of the four grahas, does it have to do with position, or other factors, perhaps again it might be that the Atma karaka if involved in the conjunction is the most powerful....and what if the Atma Karaka is itself combust?? Another one...what if a person's Lagna Bhava also contains Rahu or Ketu???especially Ketu?...say in Scorpio...how might that translate into life as we live it? my intuition tells me, that the person may tend to act on a whim, regretted later often as not, with sudden changes of mood, not to say friends and residences... and that they may well have a very changeable disposition...one day friendly the next remote...and with feelings of confusion to go with it...does that sound like a Ketu afflicted Lagna? Or am i missing a lot again? i hope you don't mind all these kindergarten questions, but they are pretty knotty to me!... thanking you all so much for the patience to read thru this if you got this far!!!Any help would be very much appreciated.
