Dear members of the list, here i am giving some of my thoughts, i hope you find

them interesting.

 

I requested for President Lincoln's DOB because i got one of his thoughts & i

wanted to link it to his chart. Have a look.

 

First of all, i wanted to make sure of Lincoln's time of birth. I have heard

6:30 am. But according to Lois M, Rodden in her ASTRO DATA II, Abraham Lincoln

was born on 12 Feb 1809 @ 6:54 am LMT @ Hodgenville, Kentucky. She gives as the

source for that info The American Astrology magazine, from April 1942, as

quoting a personal account from WOMEN LINCOLN LOVED by Wrn. E. BArton, 1927.

Because Mrs Rodden is always searching for accuracy in her research of DOB &

because she gives a B (for Biography) to Lincoln's DOB, i take 6:54 am LMT as

the best time that we can have at present.

 

I calculate the chart with Goravani Jyotish programe & taking time zone LMT as

5.74 hours as LMT from GMT and found:

prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and

the Republic is destroyed".-- President Abraham Lincoln, 1864

 

It was a prediction of President Lincoln made in 1864. We are in the year 2000

and we can see that prediction being fulfilled. Lincoln started his Saturn main

period on 1 Jan 1862, & his Saturn sub-period ended on 4 Jan 1865. This means

that he made the prediction under the influence of Saturn. Although Saturn is

weak in Scorpio in the chart, it is exalted in Libra in the navamsa making it

strong. And in the 10th house Saturn gives concern for the country "causes me

to tremble for the safety of my country".

Saturn main period gives the indications of Lincoln 1st & 12th houses, his

personality and his losses or freedom. Because Lincoln is the President, his

horoscope re[resents his country as well. So, those indications speak for

America as well. A planet in its sub-period gives indications of the sign

ocupied by it. In Lincoln's chart, Saturn is in the 10th house and therefore it

is his karma or the karma of the nation which is indicated in Saturn sub-period.

Lincoln is predicting on the future karma of America (10th house), its

reputation (1st house) being damaged (corruption) and about its losses "the

Republic is destroyed", (indications of the 12th house)..

 

When i was waiting for the DOB from the list, a friend showed me a very

interesting magazine called TWO WORLDS, and in the number 4205 for June 1994,

there is an article "President 'saw' his own death. The article is an extract

from "THE GUINESS ENCYCLOPEDIA OF GHOSTS & SPIRITS".

It says that Lincoln became interested in Spiritualism after the death of his

son Willie. And that "Lincoln's experiences with several mediums may have been

an influence on his issuance in 1863 of the emancipation proclamation that freed

slaves in America" Notice that slavery was finished "officially" in 1863,

during Lincoln's Saturn dasa, which is linked to the 12th house, for moksha or

liberation.

 

The article mentions as well that Lincoln sat with various mediums and that 10

days before his death, he started to have a series of dreams and wrote in his

journal "I retired late. I soon began to dream. There seemed to be a death-like

stillness about me. Then i heard subdued sobs, as if a number of people were

weeping. I thought i left my bed & wandered downstairs." it follows more lines

and later on he asked "Who is death in the White House? I demanded of one of the

soldiers. "The President", was his answer. "He was killed by an assassin" Then

came a loud burst of grief from the crowd, which awoke me from my dream. I slept

no more that night; & although it was only a dream, i have been strangely

annoyed by it ever since". it is interesting to read that the night before he

was killed, he told a member of his cabinet about the dream and on the day of

his assassination he told one of his bodyguards W.H. Crook, that he had dreamed

for three nights straight that he would be assassinated.

 

Lincoln was assassinated on 14 April 1865. According to Goravani Jyotish,

Saturn dasa, Mercury sub, Mercury inter-period (SaMeMe), started on 4 Jan 1865

and ended on 24 May 1865. Saturn indicates his personality, himself (1st house

ruled by Aquarius) and his losses or freedom (12th house ruled by Capricorn);

Mercury is in the 1st house and as the lord of his 8th house in the 8th, it is

indicating one of the trends of the 8th house, death.

 

Regarding his involvement with mediums, i have seen many mediums or

Spiritualists having in their horoscopes the conjunction of Mars with Rahu. The

same conjunction is in Lincoln's chart in the 9th house, the house of beliefs.

I have the feeling that Lincoln was also a medium himself and also clarivoyant

like many good mediums.

 

Furthermore, SaJuRa in Lincoln's horoscope started on 16 Aug 2000 and it ends on

1 Jan 2001. His Saturn dasa is linked to his 1st & 12th house as we saw before.

His jupiter sub is linked to the 2nd house (the assets and bank balance of his

country - lets remember that he wanted to finish the national debt), and his

Rahu inter-period is linked to the 8th house from Jupiter, indicating the

present struggles of the nation regarding the belief system (Rahu in the 9th

brings doubts). Most people cannot believe in what is going on with the

Bush-Gore fight. Saturn Dasa chidra (the end of Saturn main period) in

Lincoln's chart is indicating the present troubles of America. The next main

period of Mercury starting on 1 Jan 2001, indicates a new beginning and recovery

or change in direction. Mercury as lord of the 5th and 8th house indicates the

karma from previous lives (5th) & death or inheritances (8th). I would say, a

new beginning, a new direction is going to start in America, It has to happen

because people had enough, they are going to demand more clarity in their

politics & changes in their legal system (9th house), but it is going to take

time to fructify.

 

BTW, i do not think that President Lincoln was coerced into ending slavery like

Mani says. His horoscope is too strong to allow any interference. The mas knew

what he was doing.

Slight misunderstanding. He certainly knew what he was doing. He was an

abolitionist and was pleading for the end of slavery. But he did not make it an

issue for war. In a letter he clearly stated that he was fighting to save the

union, and would do everything to save it even if he could not set one single

slave free. The British aid finally made abolition a declared policy. The

secession was mainly owing to economical reasons. Given time Lincoln would have

probably abolished slavery anyhow..... A great man, with a great vision ....
