Namaste Mani!!

you may very well be right in reference to using the Greenwich mean

time...however when you do, you end up with das Goravani's version

of a chart for Yoganandaji...and his chart disagrees with the charts

published by David Frawley (Vamadeva Sastri) in ASTROLOGY OF THE

SEERS in which the birth time is given as January 5th 1893,

8:38 PM LMT, 83E23, 26N47, Gorakhpur...(and Vamadeva says his

information comes from Yoganandaji's Guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar, an

eminent Jyotishi as well as a Mahatma). Also Hart De Fouw and Robert

Svoboda in their "LIGHT ON LIFE" have stated his stats as: 5 Jan. 1893

8:38 PM LMT Gorakhpur India...so since Das' program has the same

number...20:38 but says it's for time zone 0:00, and since 20:38

translates into 8:38 PM, i rest my case. Either das' time is right

and the other two are wrong or the other two are right and he made a

typo.

Since the birth time is the same for all the authors...but the

time zone is different, i suspect errors here...and i suspect it IS a

typo.

You can find Yoganandaji and Vivekanandaji and Sri Ramakrsnaji in

the larger section of Goravani's famous people menu...He has two, a

smaller with more "famous" folks, and a longer one(just below the

shorter one--continue scrolling patiently!!) with many more people,

including Paramahansaji...you have to go almost to the very end...and

look under Yogananda, Paramahansa, and Vivekananda is in the same

long group under Vivekananda, Swami. Sri Ramakrsnaji Paramahansadeva

you probly already found in the shorter version above the long one.

When you plug the values given by das in his Goravani list of

famous people, EXCEPT the time zone and let his atlas do it, you get

the same chart as Vamadeva Sastri and Hart De Fouw came up with...the

lagna has now moved into Leo along with his Moon......and this is on

das' own program. When you plug in the values given by the other two

authors of course you get the same chart....so again i rest my case.

i was interested in this, to see if there were certain

interesting transits happening when Paramahansaji met his Guru, Swami

Sri Yukteswar in the summer of 1910...and guess what i found...Guru

(Jupiter) was transitting Yoganandaji's natal moon, and his lagna

(not necessarily precisely to the degree, as he doesn't give the exact

day...i found it by rectifying...back and forth within the period he

was talking about.)

i was interested in this, because when i met my Mother and Guru,

Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (May She bless us all with Pure Love of

Her Lotus Feet!!!), Jupiter was retrograde at 16 degrees 37 minutes

Scorpio, (June 2, 1995) directly transitting my natal sun at 16 deg

37 min. Scorpio!!!...and when i checked several other people's charts

who have met Amma, several of the men (and boys) had Jupiter

transitting their natal suns... What is also interesting is that for

the women i know, it was Venus transitting their natal

moons!!!!(except for one lady, for whom Jupiter was transitting her

sun, AND Venus was transitting her moon!!)

i'm wondering if anyone else has done any research in this

department...and whether this line of reasoning has any validity

according to classical sources, or according to any of your

experiences.....

In Her Divine Love

and Service,

i remain

as ever

yours,

visvanathan
