Guest guest
Hi Phillip and honorable members of the list. <<How to compute when the next Mahayuga begins is described in 12.2.4: ``When Chandra [Moon], Surva [sun], and Brhaspati [Jupiter] are together in the constellation Karkata [Cancer], and all three enter simultaneously into the lunar mansion [8-] Pushya--at that exact moment the age of Sattva, or Krita, will begin.'' Have fun! jpd>> I have the horrible feeling that our present planetary algorrthyms do not work too far. I believe that we have to adjust that when that time approaches. I also have a feeling that we have been in other kali yugas as well, trying to read the message of the planets and try to see if we can get out of here. Hoping that we are not going to see another kali yuga, but by making the same mistakes again and again we ended again in another kali yuga hoping the same again and again. it is so difficult to break with habits that is why we make the same mistakes. Well at least we keep busy by being astrologers and trying to attract the service to the Lord. It is interesting that everyone in the know advises to read BPHS as the astrological bible for vedic astrologers. We open the BPHS first chapter "Offering his obeisances to all knowing sage Parasara and with folded hands, Maitreya said "O Venerable, Astrology, the supreme limb of the Vedas, has three divisions, viz, Hora, Ganita And Samhita. Among the said three divisions, hora or genethliac part of astrology is still more excellent. I desire to know of its glorius aspects from you. Be pleased to tell me, "How this universe is created? How does it end? What is the relationship of the animals born on this earth with the heavenly bodies? Please speak elaborately". BPHS translated by R. Santhanam Parasara Muni was around before Kali yuga started on February 3102 BC, meaning that Vedic astrology is at least 5102 years old. We know a little about Ptolomei the father of western astrology but we can learn a lot about Parasara Muni, one of the 18 fathers of vedic astrology and author of the BPHS, by reading the Mahabaratha and Srimad Bhagavatam. In the last paragraph there are three questions which can be consulted as well from the Srimad Bhagavatam. >From chapter 2 of the BPHS 3-4 & 5-7 "The unborn Lord has many incarnations. He has incarnated as the planets (nava grahas0 to bestow on the living beings the results due to their karmas. He is Janardana, he assumes the auspicious form of the grahas to destroy the demons (evil forces) and sustain the divine beings"" "From the Sun god the incarnation of Rama, from the Moon that of Krishna, from Mars that of Narasimha, from Mercury that of budha, from Jupiter that of Vamana, from Venus that of Parasurama, from Saturn that of Kurma, from Rahu that of Varaha and friom Ketu taht of Mina occurred" BPHS translated by R. Santhanam. All those incarnations are mentioned and described in the Srimad Bhagavatam. By reading about Them we can meditate on the meaning and function of the planets. And we can even read about Uranus, Neptune and Pluto as well. The Srimad Bhagavatam was compiled at the beginning of Kali yuga and this means that the vedic seers were aware of the outer planets even since that time. So in a way we can say that modern astronomers have only re-discover those planets. It seems that humanity suffered a kind of amnesia that made us forget the outer planets but every ancient culture on earth has kept their personalities alive in their so called myths. Osiris among the Egyptians was the lord of the netherworld, the lord of death. In Greece, the same lord is called Pluto. In India, lord Varuna is the lord of the seas like Neptune in Greece. And Indra the lord of the rains in India is the like Tlaloc among the Aztecs. Three different personalities with different names according to the culture but sharing the same function. That is how we recognize them but why different cultures so distant from each other in time and space have the description of a personality that rules a certain department?. The department of death is very important because we all are going to die one day. What happen after we die? Are we going to Pluto? to meet lord Yamaraj whom has servants and secretaries helping him. Some of them are in charge of keeping our files (very long indeed and they do not use computers), some others are in charge of taking the sinful souls to their master whom decides their rectification and their payment of karma in installment or in bulk, depending how lucky we are. Every cent in debt has to be paid before leaving this level, that is why Kali yugas repeat themselves knowing that we find difficult to learn our lessons and repeat our mistakes. It is not enough to pretend to be religious, we have to be religious, dharmic, dutiful. We can not con lord Yamaraj, he is skilfull enough to detect in us if we are good or if we are bad, we are helpless, he Knows. Are we for real? or we still think that we are above others? Believe me, when we die, we do not even have shelter of the human body which we were used to drive. That is when we confront ourselves, when we analize why we are there in that helpless position. Our past position in human society does not matter, if we were big of small, rich or poor, good or bad, we are in front of eternity and eternity is judging us. DO you see that guy that pretended to be big with lots of "friends' to protect him? And that other guy that was pretending to be a big astrologer? Well, their bodies are now ashes and they are waiting like us for their turn to be seen by the superintendent of death lord Yamaraj. Let me think fast, did i do more good than bad? or more bad than good? Was i a good fellow or a bad one? At that point i beg even to the souls in the stones around me to forgive me for any offenses done if any, just in case but afraid still. Am i going to pass the exam or to fail? Did i do my homework properly, or i forgot? My Guru Maharaja told us that we should not ask for justice because we do not have the chance, rather we should ask for mercy, because mercy is above justice. It is only by the mercy of the Supreme Lord that we are forgiven from any mistake because the Supreme Lord is above everything and even above lord Yama. The news today is that the case of George Harrison was heard in Court in London. George was stabbed by a lunatic at the end of last year and survived about 10 wounds and a perforated lung. He said in court that he shouted Hare Krishna to confuse the guy. By Krishna's mercy, George is still alive today. The interesting thing is that the lunatic said that he heard voices in his head telling him to kill George, that God told him to kill. And he said as well that while attacking George, this was telling him spooky things. What, Hare Krishna?, the sacred Names of the Lord? it will be interesting to study their charts and see the message, was a question of lunacy, possesion (he claims that he was possessed by George), or mind control by a third person? Is it possible to manipulate people's minds and make them kill? Is it possible to read this in a chart? Lord Yama has his residence and his parliament in Pluto and Pluto has its residence in the sign of death, Scorpio. And it happens that Pluto is now on its way out of Scorpio. I am sure that such a transit has a meaning that we are missing. If vedic astrology recommends to read the meaning of comets i am sure that some where we will find the meaning for the transits of Pluto. Sorry guys, i know that some of you do not like it, Pluto does not fit in vedic astrology i heard you say, but i do not want to betray my conciousness, which is telling me that Pluto in Scorpio is very important for us as astrologers to study and descipher. If we confront lord Yama when we die, i am sure that i have done that few times otherwise i would not be here again, then Pluto is very important to know. If Yama is in charge of our end and disposal, then we have to learn his rules. Pluto is known as being the indicator of death, resurrection, transformation, underground, mystery, unexpected results. Just like the indications of the 8th house and the 8th sign of the zodiac. So if Pluto is now going out of Scorpio, is he leaving a lesson for us to learn? Are we doing our homework?. As astronomers-astrologers, we are suppose to study the sky, the planetary configurations and the omens around. When Nostradamus was shown a baby still born with two heads, he meditated and said that it was an omen that the country was going to have 2 heads of State. Are we going to wait another 248 years to decide to read the meaning of Pluto in Scorpio?. Or you do not have to read it because you are not coming back? And what about the 27 important stars that give a name to our 27 constellations? Are they important or not? If they are important as well, then the conjunction of Pluto with Antares, the heart of the Scorpio has to be important too. Pluto made 3 conjunctions with Antares last year and its effects are still working on earth. Have you seen the recent American elections? Politics, treachery, dirty tricks, abuse of power, deceiving, lies. All these for power and glory? All that and more are indications of Scorpio and Pluto is triggering the energies to bring out that which is unseen for people to see more clear. We are suppose to live in a democratic world and politicians are above the popular vote? Scorpio qualities and Pluto are transforming human history. What do you think?
