I suggest this to start: read 5.21-24 thoroughly--it describes the motion of the planets, then all of canto five, then cantos three and four, and then read the whole Sb, because there are excellent comments in both scripture and purports throughout. Here are a couple of little examples scattered here and there. The source of discord between the Moon and Jupiter over Tara is described in 9.14. The story of how Rahu snuck into the banquet before being sliced in half is described in 8.9. How to compute when the next Mahayuga begins is described in 12.2.4: ``When Chandra [Moon], Surva [sun], and Brhaspati [Jupiter] are together in the constellation Karkata [Cancer], and all three enter simultaneously into the lunar mansion [8-] Pushya--at that exact moment the age of Sattva, or Krita, will begin.''
