My godbrother, Bhakta das, who is also known to some of you, has been unjustly accused of participating in the unthinkable crime of gang raping a six year old girl in Puri India. He is completely, 100% innocent. At the time of the alleged crime he was at a local temple in the association of at least 20 other persons. Not only that, the girl was examined by the local hospital and found to be untouched by anyone, let alone Bhakta das. She is, as would be expected of all six year old girls, a virgin. In short Bhakta das has been "framed" along with three other "rapists" and are rotting in an Indian jail. This is no joke. You can die in an Indian jail. It's not like America where they pamper the prisoners with three daily meals, recreational facilities, T.V. and comfortable living quarters. Bhakta das has been locked up for nearly four months and has been unable to get out even on bail for a crime he didn't commit. Now, my question to all of you, is can any of you help in some way? First, with the prayer and positive loving energy I see on this list all the time. Also, can any of our list experts help with any astrological advice as well. When will this nightmare be over for him??? Bhakta das' birth info is: DOB: Nov.19, 1949 POB: Los Angeles, CA TOB: 8:46 AM His mother swears the birth time is actually as much as two hours earlier (here we go again). I leave that decision up to all of you after you see the chart. If anyone of you would like, I will also post addresses, fax #'s and e-mail adresses that you can write to to lodge your protest over the gross transgression of this innocent man's human rights. Dear Sarva Astrological help, with uncertain TOB, cannot be reliable. What Bhaktha needs is active help. Since POB was LA, he is or was a US citizen. Indian prisons can be bad not only in the general treatment but also in other ways, like preventing the prisoner from contacting a lawyer etc. You say the girl was found to be untouched. Even in India the principle of habeas corpus is part of the law: if the crime cannot be proved, no one can be punished. If he is in custody, it suggests that the framing was done in a very planned manner. It is likely that the prison warders etc. are being bribed, as well as the police and perhaps even the parents and relatives of the alleged girl victim. I would as first step get in touch with the US embassy in India and the US consulate nearest to Puri - inform the US foreign office about this matter and get the relevant addresses from them. Also contact the Red Cross. Further I appeal to Sanjay and others in Puri to help Bhaktha, especially by getting him a really good local lawyer, if the consulate does not do so. With the present rate of exchange, a lawyer´s fees will not be very high. Apart from that, fire has to be fought with fire: a bribe here or there may set him free!... If the child was not harmed, it may be possible to get the help of her parents to squash the charge. .... Actually all this should have been done at once and it is a pity that 4 months have elapsed. Mobilize all forces at once. Some active help on the spot is necessary. Believing in you, an innocent man at times also has to undergo traumas and tribulations like this, because of some of his past karmas.
