Dear Dharmapada

 

You are named Dharma and the 9th house is the primary house of dharma .For

Capricorn Lagna the Yoga Karaka Venus sits near the rising dergree of the

9th house conjunct the exalted 9th Lord Mercury .This draws the 5th Lord

(Vedic study) 10th Lord (actions) and 9th Lord (religion) together. Has

there ever been a more powerful combination for dharma ? This phenomenal

Raja Yoga also aspects the 3rd house of writing making this saint a

magneficent writer .By contrast the Sagitarius Lagna has a Raja Yoga in the

9th but that yoga is marred by the presence of Ketu .If the yoga was not

marred and the Sagittarius Lagna is correct then likely we would have seen

a great rise in the Jupiter mahadasha.The rise as Guru primarily and writer

secondarily initially happened in the Mercury mahadasha not the Jupiter

mahadasha showing Mercury's placement in 9th and aspect on 3rd .

 

Although the 8th house is designated mrtyastan (house of death) and dubbed

the house of irreligion and dusthana

we should also remember that it is also designated a house of moksha ,

life's ultimate goal in Vedic thought (although prema is the goal of the

Vaisnavas) . In the Capricorn chart this house is occupied by three

indicators of moksha 2 tightly conjunct each other (Note one is the karaka

for moksha the other is the functional Lord of moksha .When two golf

enthusiasts get together what they going to do ?).When you get 3

indications of something in astrology you're on your way to a good

prediction .

 

The 10th house does not only refer to one's rise in career but also to the

quality of one's actions and deeds . So for the Capricorn Lagna the exalted

Lagna Lord refers to someone who not only has a career rise but engages in

well thought out actions . Blending that with the super powerful 9th house

aspected onto the 3rd house of writing and you get the big picture .

 

I can identify how deeply one understands astrology with whether one

accepts the Sagittarius Lagna or Capricorn Lagna from my own experience

because in my first 6 years at this I also favored the Sagittarius Lagna .

The younger brother from Sagittarius doesn't surprise me- two positive,

masculine planets aspect the third, the house of younger brothers. I'd

actually expect more, but I guess that Mars in the sixth limits their

number.

 

You know, three older sisters for a Hindu family more than100 years ago was

not actually much.
