Dear Yadu Sreshta, I accept that the eighth gives good results in terms of inheritances and longevity. But our overwhelming experience with the eighth house is that planets there become feeble in the matter of giving results in general. > I'm not real expert on brothers and sisters but 3rd Lord in 8th does not > seem to support brothers . Venus the karaka for sisters is the Yogakaraka > of the Capricorn chart and sits in RajaYoga in the 9th with 9th exalted > Lord Mercury .So this supports the idea that Pisima was an exalted Vaisnava > as this all happens in the 9th house of dharma---------- We can find a statement in the astrological literature to justify just about anything, but I don't think that the idea of Venus consistently representing sisters has met with much accepotance among the Hindus. I used to interpret that Jupiter is the husband for a woman because I read that somewhere. But that got me into trouble. Later I saw Raman interpret that Venus indicates the marriage partner, even for a woman, and that really helped me get away from the statement that Jupiter is the karaka. Besides, according to the Capricorn chart, it would be difficult for his divine grace not to have a masculine older sibling. > One has to consider the houses as fields which souls play their lives out > in .The Capricorn Lagna supports a great writer in the field of religion > .The Sagitarius Lagna supports a great writer but there does not seem much > clue as to the correct field. The Sagittarius chart in general is an overwhelmingly spiritual chart. One's profession is indicated by the lagna as much as by the other factors such as the tenth- in the Sagittarius chart, Prabhupada's lagna lord Jupiter-the-deva-guru occupies the ninth, the house of Dharma, aspects the house of writing and the lagna itself. This is a clue like Maxwell's Silver Hammer, my dear Yadu Srestha! I still say that the Sagittarius chart fits from the perspective of writing, the strength of results during the Ketu period, and siblings.
