From Capricorn lagna, you can call the eighth the house of secret knowledge and such, but planets in the eighth house, unless strengthened otherwise, are deemed feeble and cannot give strong results. You can't just brush it off by giving a definition such that it is the house of functional writing. A person with the third lord in the eighth could hardly have that book karma. >From Sagittarius lagna the third and Mercury are both special. There is still the matter of an older sister and no brother. This is explained well from Sagittarius because the karaka of brothers is in the sixth, and Saturn, the planet of limitation and a neuter planet, occupies the house of older siblings. Thanks Mani and Manvantara for your contributions. Hari Sauri who was Srila Prabhupada's servant for the last 2 years insists emphatically that Srila Prabhupada gave his birth tine as around 4 PM (It is on the record anyway ) So this is the time he got from his father and enabled the astrologer in his child hood to correctly predict his life's events ( and these were not common predictions) . Now Manvantara asked about poisonoing .This should be left to those expert in forensic but because someone who favors the Sagittarius Lagna also favors the poison theory let us look at the case and follow Pandit Ojha's line of reasoning . Saturn the Lagna Lord( and hence general indicator for the body) and a general indictor for longevity and functional indicator of the self has gone to the 8th house in September 1977 and has just passed over the natal functional malefics Ketu and Jupiter( although both are indicators for moksha Ketu naturally and Jupiter functionally and are11 minutes apart in the natal chart) and also near the cusp of the 8th house.The same transit taken from the Sagittarius Lagna has Saturm going from the 8th house to the 9th and caused the advocate of this Lagna to conclude that Srila Prabhupada's health would improve. A secondary factor is that the Sun the natural indicator of the body and functional indicator for longevity is in debilitation and is in advanced old age, A third factor is that Ketu is natally placed in the house of death and is at the end of it's period and such junctions are often troublesome . The Bhukti Lord is Mercury Lord of the 9th ( primary house of dharma and therefore bhakti)and adds the devotional aspect to the clear indications for moksha . ..... Once Saturn started transitting the 8th house Srila Prabhupada stopped touring and once the Sun entered Libra his physical condition deteriorated completely .These are all quite natural afflictions and nowhere can I see in his demise the cheating and manipulating influence of Rahu or the 6th Lord . I have one chart in my collection of a Sagitarius Lagna with Jupiter exalted in the 8th in Cancer. So the self goes to the house of irreligion and this man is the embodiment of irreligion (not a moment is spent without smoking,drinking,gambling,swearing,abusing ,hetrosex and homosex .) Yet he just inherited half a million dollars from his grand mother ! So if other facors support it the 8th house can give good results .So someone with 3rd in 8th may be an esoteric writer if other factors support it. I'm not real expert on brothers and sisters but 3rd Lord in 8th does not seem to support brothers . Venus the karaka for sisters is the Yogakaraka of the Capricorn chart and sits in RajaYoga in the 9th with 9th exalted Lord Mercury .So this supports the idea that Pisima was an exalted Vaisnava as this all happens in the 9th house of dharma---------- One has to consider the houses as fields which souls play their lives out in .The Capricorn Lagna supports a great writer in the field of religion ..The Sagitarius Lagna supports a great writer but there does not seem much clue as to the correct field.
