Guest guest
After reading Martin Gansten's recent article on the dasas,I was intrigued with evaluating my dasa sequence with and without parallax moon.I find that the non corrected moon sequence seems to fit my life events better, except when I run the dasarambha charts for a major event that chart for the dasa change sequence makes more aspects to the rasi which fit the event symbolism, than the one for the non parallax corrected dasa change date.I would appreciate input from wendy or others who have used the parallax correction.I use the Houck ayanamsa.Regards Dave Birr
Guest guest
Hi Dave & All I was quite outspoken on this list a couple of years ago on this subject. As I recall there was a lot of controversy at the time. Many thought it too untraditional (non parashara) to have any validity. But research on many charts convinced me of it's importance and I stuck to my guns. I'm only recently back at the computer, astrology etc, after a year's sabbatical. On my return I had to re-load everything on my (loaned out) computer. When I re-installed my goravani program I neglected to turn the parallax correction on and was perplexed that what was happening in my life was not reflected in the dasa periods. My intellect got extremely busy trying to fit square pegs into round holes!! Then Das posted that article by Martin Gansten and I realised my omission. Once the parallax correction was made it all fell into place. Without lunar parallax (using lahiri) I was in ME-VE-ME and there was no way that was my experience! With the correction and using either lahiri or krishnamurti (there's barely any difference) I found I was running ME-VE-SA That fits like a glove!! The events that tell me so: For weeks now I've been attending the doctor's surgery to have a very nasty foot ulcer dressed. It had become infected and eaten almost through to ankle bone. It's slow to heal and am still attending regularly for dressing changes. How is that reflected in dasa period: 1) Asc lord SA is in 6th in rasi. 2) SA (in transit) is conjunct 12th lord JU...12th we know governs feet. 3) KE is transiting 12th. Interesting to note (as confirmation) my twin sister had similar problem with feet during her KE bhukti. For her KE is in 12th in rasi (for me KE is in 1st). Sadly the outcome for her was amputation. I need no more convincing of the importance of lunar parallax correction. I have been using krishnamurti ayanamsha, however the events of today lead me to believe that lahiri may be more to the mark.
