Dear Andrew,

I have been investigating the Ava Yogi point in my chart.(8th Dec

1958, 1.am 34S12 142E09 Mildura, Vic, Aust).

5th planet from rising Nak Ketu is Mars ruling chitra.Natal Rahu sits at

27deg 42mins in 2nd hse Virgo in the Nak of Chitra. Mars is Yogakaraka for

Leo rising;as Ava Yogi this is not all good news.

Three weeks before my 9th birthday (14th Nov 1967 @ approx 9.am), I was

hit by a truck and sustained serious injuries.Transiting Ketu was stationed

at 27deg 55mins Chitra. Maybe she saved my life,(although I have read that

Ketu Nak on Lagna can kill). I was seperated from my family for a good 2yrs,

although that in itself had some positive outcomes.It has been rough and

tumble from there,with dates not easily recalled.I will definitely have to

keep an eye on it.(I have many malefic aspects to the 2nd hse so it is hard

for me to determine where they are all coming from at times).

Natal Rahu in virgo has not given me an affliction to the eyes. I do not

and have never worn glasses.My eye colour is a deep average blue,but the

shape is beautiful.I have my fathers tall athletic physique and my mothers

looks...the strange thing here being, she is a great beauty, and I pale in

comparison with her.(Rahu in nak of mars receiving 10th hse aspect of Saturn??)

I am very finnicky with food and am sensitive with allergic reactions to

all sorts of foods, smells etc. Sanjay suggested Saturn in debility in

Navamsa can indicate allergies as well.

Mars is MK. My mothers' brutality would rival Ghangis Khan. Little wonder

conversations with my mother sound like two cats in a hessian bag!!.

As an aside, although all delineation add depth, I have been musing over

the Martian energy in my nature,and its expression.In keeping with the

scorpionic influence, I realise the 'triggering' of a sensitive Ava Yogi

degree in an already charged house of speech may have forced " The World

According to Ann" to be recited before freedom/closure could be granted

within some relationships.

I thought of a past partner today and roared laughing.While I apologise

for entering the minefields of Love, I thought this little ancedote could

better describe the Cupids Barb of Love experience with a combative martian

flavour.

I complained to my partner he was not showing me enough attention and

took me for granted...He continued to read his paper...I was after a

response, so I stated clearly "I am withdrawing my labour"...He read on...I

explained that it would mean I would no longer keep house for him or his

washing...He sighed while turning the page...I decided to up the ante and

continued..."and I will no longer cook for you". He put the paper down,

looked at me and said "Good" Now maybe I'll be able to shit!!". Touche indeed.

Anne "Spud" Murphy what a real Irish name. I actually make your ava yogi

planet Saturn and yogi planet Sun. Your yoga point falls in Uttara Phalguni

at 3.56 in Virgo. Count forward 5 full nakshatras and you are at 3.56 in

Scorpio or Anuradhna nakshatra. Sun is yogi planet and Saturn is ava yogi

planet. Were you using Irish calculations?

 

As to the Mother, 4th lord Mars is retrograde in Aries the sign of the head.

She must have been a hot head as Mars also aspects the 4th house by 8th

house aspect and afflicts the Moon. All the planets in the 4th house are in

the nakshatra of Mercury and Mercury is in the 4th house afflicted by Mars

the planet of fights, arguments and war. Mars also aspects the sign of the

Mother Cancer. These planets in the 4th house are in Jyestha, a rakshasa

nakshatra that is sharp and dreadful. Your Mars also falls in a fierce

nakshatra in Bharani. This adds up to a fierce Mother but you would also be

like this as lagna lord Sun is in these aspects also. Buy a cow and you look

at its feet, buy a wife and look at her Mother is an old Thai saying. Ava

yogi planet Saturn is the lord of the 4th house from the Moon. Mars as 4th

lord of mother is in bad aspect to lagna lord Sun and as they are both hot

planets,what do you expect but fights and arguments. Moon falls in the

nakshatra of Rahu and ava yogi Saturn afflicts Rahu in the 2nd house of

early life. Your early family life must have been tough. Mars in the 9th

house in bad aspect to Sun and Jupiter would also show a fiesty Father. The

influence of Scorpio is very strong in regards to both parents. I have very

similar aspects in my chart and my mother I'm sure is an incarnation of Kali

the goddess of destruction. She is of Irish decent and me and her fight like

cat and dog. you also have Jupiter and Moon in conjunction and Sun and Venus

together. This shows kindness, most of us Irish misfits are quite kind and

caring under the fiesty, crusty shell.

 

The day of your accident shows why Hindu astrology is never wrong if the

right time is available to check the planetary positions. On the day and

time of 09.00am you give,transit Moon is exactly conjunct to natal Mars

using the Krishnamurti ayanamsha. The lagna rising is in the sign of ava

yogi Saturn with transit Mars within two minutes of the lagna in the 4th

house of vehicles from natal Moon. This shows the accident was probably

around 09.02.00 am on that morning. Transit Mars was also in hard aspect to

transit Moon and making 8th house aspect to the natal lagna. Jupiter in the

lagna no doubt saved you.

You were running Rahu / Venus. Rahu falls in the nakshatra of the planet of

accidents Mars in Chittra. Venus the sub lord is in the nakshatra of

Mercury. Mercury is the depositor of Rahu located in the 8th house from

Mars. Mars is the depositor of Venus and Venus is in the 8th house from

Mars. As far as the dasa lords were concerned you were in the shite because

their depositors were 6/8 from each other and the nakshatra lords were the

same.

 

In the navamsha Mars rises in the Scorpio lagna and Venus is in the 8th

navamsha from Rahu. Rahu falls in the navamsha of Sun your lagna lord. Ava

yogi Saturn aspects the navamsha lagna.

 

If you look at it simply without over analysing Sun the lagna lord is in the

4th house of vehicles in the 8th sign of accidents getting an 8th house

aspect from Mars the planet of accidents. Hey your still alive! You weren't

suppossed to die on that day as Jupiter was in the lagna. On the day of the

accident Ketu was transiting the Yogi point in the chart also within 2

degrees. The chart for the time of the accident gives Mars as the ava yogi

planet.
