Guest guest
FW: Election - Andrew Lynn Pundit Navaratnam Tuesday, September 12, 2000 8:07 PM Re: Election Somebody sent his to me. so I will post it for others to read. He is using different calculations or a differernt ayanamsha from Lahiri. I have Bush in Saturn / Mars dasha. Funny, I post about a serious issue like the election and I don't get one reply. I post a message about sex and my email box is full. Ah such is life........................................... Skinbags Vedic Astrology Indicates Bush As The Next US President Dr. Bangalore Sureshwara ======================================================= The US Presidential election is receiving, as usual, worldwide attention. Governor George W. Bush and Vice-President Albert Gore are contesting for the right to occupy the White House for the next four years. It will be of great interest to study many aspects of the Vedic horoscopes of the two national leaders. However, our Vedic astrological evaluation will cover only the political aspect as specifically related to which candidate is most likely to become the next president of United States of America. Similar But Not Identical Horoscopes The horoscopes of Bush and Gore have few common planetary geometrical relationships. The two horoscopes are similar but are not identical. The common Ascendant is Cancer and Saturn is in Ascendant in both the charts. The heavy influence of Rahu (node of Moon) in the two charts indicate that it will be a campaign built on lot of tall talk in a closely fought election. Ultimately, only one can be a winner. Therefore, Rahu will have a dual role in the first presidential election of the millenium. One as a king maker who bestows his blessing on one candidate and the other as a spoiler who curses the other candidate. Governor George W. Bush Governor George W. Bush was born at 7.26 AM (EDT) on July 6, 1946 at New Haven, Connecticut. The Ascendant Lord Moon is in the 3rd with Jupiter, lord of 6th and 9th. The two shadow planets Rahu and Kethu are exalted in Taurus and Scorpio, respectively. Governor Bush achieved a historic victory when he defeated a favored candidate and was elected as Governor of Texas in 1994. He repeated his victory when he was reelected Governor in 1998. Saturn major-period started on August 1986 and ends on August 2005. Venus minor-period started in June 1993. Saturn, lord of 7th and 8th , is in Ascendant. Saturn¹s situation in Ascendant is not a desirable feature. However, the aspect of lord of 8 on Jupiter, the lord of nine, indicates fame and power. According to classical texts, the mutual exchange of lord of 3rd (Mercury) and lord of Ascendant (Moon) indicates the capacity of a person to accomplish "daring acts". Venus, as Lord of 4th and 11th is somewhat malefic. The location of 5th and 10th lord Mars in 2nd is quite desirable. The 10th house is aspected by Jupiter and exalted Kethu. The 11th house is fairly well placed. Exalted Rahu in 11th will benefit the person in Rahu major-period and Rahu minor-periods. Sun as lord of 2nd in 12th, indicates heavy financial gains and excessive spending. A look at the planetary geometrical relationships from Moon show Saturn as lord of 5th and 6th is in 11th. Saturn as lord of 5th is benefic, but somewhat blemished because of its ownership of 6th. Venus, as lord of 2nd and 9th is good. The Sarva Ashtakavaraga (total eight-source of energy) chart indicates 32, 28, 35 and 38 dots in Ascendant, 9, 10 and 11 houses, respectively. The results appropriate to a specific house will manifest if the number of dots exceed 30. As ascendant has more than 30 dots, a royal position is possible. Saturn Venus geometrical relationship, coupled with good tenth and eleventh houses and a healthy 32 dots in Sarva Ashtakavarga in Lagna has largely contributed to Bush¹s continuing political successes. During the period of Moon minor-period (July 1997 to February 1999) , Bush was reelected in 1998 with a high percentage of the vote. During Mars¹s minor-period, the Governor Os national visibility and recognition increased culminating in his winning the nomination of the Republican Party for the most powerful position in the world. The Rahu minor-period starts from March 2000 and lasts until January 2003. Because of the exalted position of Rahu, it is a yogakaraka (planetary position for gains ) that bestows success to Bush. Vice- President Al Gore Vice-President Al Gore was born at 12.53 PM (EST) on March 31, 1948 at Washington, DC. The Ascendant is also Cancer and Saturn is in the Ascendant. The team of President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore were elected in November 1992 and they were re-elected in November 1996. Mars, as lord of 5th and 10th is a benefic and is in the Ascendant. The benefic ability of Mars is somewhat reduced because of its debilitation. It aspects 7th and 8th houses, whose lord is Saturn. Rahu is in the constellation of Bharani, whose lord is Venus. Venus, lord of 11th is in its own house and well placed. Thus,Rahu, the shadow planet is a benefic. Jupiter, lord of 6th and 9th is in 6th house He is somewhat blemished, because of his location in 6th. But is also neutralized because it is his own house. Jupiter, aspects the 10th house. Rahu is in the 5th from Moon and is aspected by Jupiter. The 10th lord from Moon is Mercury, who is placed in the 3rd from Moon. Rahu Dasa runs from March 1992 to March 2010. Gore was first elected as Vice President during Rahu minor-period . The reelection was during Jupiter minor-period. The current Mercury Minor-period lasts until September 2002. Mercury, lord of 3rd and 12th is in 8th. Mercury is in the constellation of Purvabhadra, whose lord is Jupiter. Transit Saturn, located in Taurus aspects Mercury and 8th house. The overall planetary geometrical relationships indicate that Mercury is somewhat blemished. Mercury generally denotes not mere intellect but viveka or wisdom. Afflicted or blemished Mercury implies that in this election campaign, facts and figures will be sometimes distorted and manipulated for the sake of getting votes. The Sarva Ashtakavarga chart indicates29, 24, 32 and 36 dots in Ascendant, 9th, 10th and 11th houses, respectively. The results appropriate to a specific house will manifest if the number of dots exceed 30. It is important to note that the Ascendant has less than 30 dots. Rahu, The King Maker or Spoiler? Governor Bush and Vice President Gore have backgrounds that make them well qualified for ascending the throne in Washington. But, only one of them can ascend the throne and the other will have to disappear into the pages of history. The review of the charts of Governor Bush and Vice President Gore has clearly shown that Rahu plays quite a dominant role as far as their political future is concerned. The exalted position of Rahu and its operating minor-period at the time of election are the positive factors in the case of Bush. Though Rahu is fairly well placed in Gore¹s chart, Mercury, the lord of the operating minor-period is somewhat afflicted. The planet Rahu traditionally indicates backroom deals and conspiracies. The dominant role of Rahu in the two charts indicates that both the candidates will be involved in somewhat aggressive and manipulative campaigning. It will be a tough political fight and a close election. The Vedic astrological evaluation of the charts of the two candidates clearly indicates that Bush has slight edge over Gore and is thus favored to occupy the White House in January 2001. Before we close the discussion, one has to remember that the horoscope is a mere map of one¹s Prarabdha Karma (destiny). Planetary indications are neither deterministic nor absolute. As the sages and seers have clearly indicated, sincere human effort with the Grace of God can overcome adverse indications shown in an individual¹s chart. ================================================================= DR. Many Pundits actually consider Lahiri to be out by about 6 minutes and Krishnamurti to be the closest thing to a correct ayanamsha. It also good to use his and compare it it with Lahiri after an event has taken place. They are so close it doesn't really matter that much. I just watched the news and George Bush Jnr was in trouble for one of his adverts they say has a subliminal message in it. He has ava yogi Mars in the 2nd house of speech. He is a terrible speaker and is it any wonder he is reluctant to enter into debates. He has a real Mars face with a crusty look and permanent scowl. That article was sent to us by Acharya Ceyonswami from the Kauai Aadheenam in Hawaii. Gurudeva is a great friend and supporter of Al Gore and dearly wants him to be President. I don't know why but there is something I don't like about Bush. He has Mars the red planet in the 2nd house of the face and neck and I feel he is a red neck. I just get strong feelings about certain people. He has done well under Saturn major period which is unusual as Saturn is 4th dasha lord and lord of the 7th and 8th houses for a Cancerian. Saturn period is not over yet and time will tell what he is really like.......................... Skinbags. Andrew: I see what you mean about the ayanamsa. He is using Raman's, which is way off. Guest guest
Dear Skinbags I also distrust Bush. In Gore's chart Rahu is in the 10th indicating he knows how to manipulate circumstances to get ahead in life. By contrast Bush has Rahu exalted in the 11th in Taurus indicating shadowy wealthy friends who have pushed him up far higher than his actual talents indicate ..Bush is of ordinary intellect and has only an ordinary report card as Governor of Texas .He is also a lousy speaker since the Lord of the 2nd is poorly placed in the 12th house of loss . By contrast Gore's 2nd Lord placed in the 9th is an outstanding placement . No wonder Gore wants to debate him. ..Although Rahu aspects the Moon Jupiter combination in both charts in Gore's the orb is wide whereas Bush's the orb is close .Having Rahu which has deception in his portfolio aspecting his Lord of the ascendent so tightly indicates that Bush is a devious fellow as indicated by his smiling to the cameras while cursing a reporter. In Gore's chart the Moon Jupiter combination falls in the 6th but the 6th Lord Jupiter is extremely strong in its MT sign indicating that Gore will manifest the higher attributes of the 6th which is service and a willingness to work your way through difficulties .By contrast Bush's Moon Jupiter combination is in the 3rd the house of motives .It's Lord is unhappily placed in Cancer and Jupiter is in exile(or detriment) in Virgo ..The exchange between the 1st aind 3rd Lords the houses of self and motives indicates where Bush is at .Neither Moon or Mercury are well disposited . According to Lahiri ayanamsha Bush enters Sun PD on November 6 and Sun being in the house of loss gives us hope .The VRY is an uncertain Phenomena IMHO . It does work sometimes but when someone is speaking in double negatives (which is what such a chart seems to do) it can be difficult to ascertain what is actually being said . The U.S should let outsiders vote in their presidential election since noone ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public. Best Wishes Nicholas Dear Christopher Yes he is using Ramans ayanamsha.
