Guest guest
Dear Christopher One thing about the chart you read for me that also should not be overlooked is the fact that Venus falls in the navamsha of Saturn and is in exchange with Saturn. It is also afflicted by Mars. Saturn is 8th lord and ava yogi. Rahu is in the navamsha of Saturn afflicted again by Saturn by 10th house aspect. In the rashi chart Venus suffers from Papa kartari Yoga also from Saturn and Mars. I think generally Rahu when well placed is the best influence, especially in conjuntion or trine to Sun. The depositor of course must be well placed. We cannot look at things too superficially or on the other hand over intellectualize things. I am not a slave to the ancient texts although I respect them greatly. Environment should also be taken into account when making judgemnents especially in regards to the receptive watery rashis. They are far more impressionable and changable than the earthy or firy rashis. Airy rashis are changable but more in a nervous or mental way. Watery rashis are changable in a emotional way. I have stated it before but will say it again that no influence of a planet should be interpreted until house and sign position, nakshatra, aspects and navamsha position are studied. Only then can the whole picture be seen. I in particular look at the depositors and the nakshatra lords to see if a planet is acting as final depositor of the planets or nakshatras. This I feel is an understated technique that should never be overlooked. After this good intuition and experience is everything. I am a more intuitive rather than technical astrologer, I see a chart very holistically, others I know can't and must work step by step. A chart must be looked at over and over again at different times. I find everytime I look at somebodies chart I can see something new. This always keeps me interested and humble as my old Pundit constantly reminds me I am a baby to astrology. I hope my ponderings are of use to somebody skinbags
