I first discovered KP only a month ago in an article in one of Richard

Houck's books. In the manual to the GJ program there is a description

by Krishnamurti's son. I have got the gist of first rate

significators. That is the activity of a planet placed in a house

gives signification to the lord of the nakshatra it is in. That's how

I discovered I am an artist since Venus is first rate ruler of my

tenth house.

In the article in the GJ Manual a method for determining the efficacy

of the first rate ruler is described. It is fairly technical and I am

not sure if I have understood it correctly. I'll run through my

understanding which I have been testing on various charts and maybe

someone can tell me if I'm on the right track.

1. What is the sub-ruler of the significator? i.e in which sub section

of its nakshatra is the significator placed?

2. In which nakshatra is the sub-ruler (aka sub-lord) placed?

3. To what houses is the lord of the nakshatra significator?

In relation to the final question I have usually judged according to

the house to which the lord is First Rate Significator.

According to how well the house supports the activity of the original

significator is the in regard to the question decides the efficacy of

the planet.

If someone can confirm my method is correct next time I'll share some

examples of this system referred to simply with the initials KP.
